Baltimore, MD – November 7, 2018 - When I first heard that the Dunkin’ Donuts in Colonial Village Shopping Center planned on opening an adjacent drive-thru, I was wondering where, exactly, there would be room. Now I know. The Candy Store’s ownership just announced that the store was approached by their landlord, The Fedder Company, about leaving its location of the past 15 years, so the drive-thru can be constructed in that space.

Fortunately, for those who enjoy the intoxicating sugar rush upon entering The Candy Store, and digging into bins full of neon colored gummy bears and sour worms, among other sweet pleasures, they won’t have too far to go. Actually, they just need to walk across the parking lot to the former Pern’s Hebrew Book & Gift Shop location at 7012 Reisterstown Road. Although the exact date of the move is, as of yet, unknown, the projected date is January, 2019.

By the way, when you do check out The Candy Store’s new, bigger-than-ever candy selection and expanded gift section, you may notice that the former Pern’s location is not quite as large as you remember. A piece of that space has been given to The Candy Store’s neighbors-to-be, the Income Tax store and Jake & Son Barber Shop. Sounds like there’s been some corner cutting, literally!

BaltimoreJewishLife.com wishes The Candy Store continued SWEET success in their new location!
