A string of shootings in Baltimore City on Tuesday has left three people dead and several injured. The level of violence happening in the city is leaving many frustrated and tired.

11 people were shot and three died in seven separate shootings on Tuesday.

"I'm afraid. I lay down at night, I'm not counting sheep -- I'm counting bullet shots. I'm counting the number of times the ambulance or firetrucks ride by," resident Kenny Eebron said.

A 69-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man were shot after 1 a.m. in northwest Baltimore, police said. Police found the woman on Cordelia Avenue near Hayward Avenue. An hour and a half later, a man arrived at a Baltimore County hospital with a gunshot wound, officials said.

Around 9 a.m. two people were found shot in a car on Westwood Avenue near North Longwood Street, police said. Bullet holes were found in the windshield, officials said. Police said a 21-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman were taken to a hospital.

Around noon, three men were shot in the area of Penn-North, authorities said. SkyTeam 11 was over the scene on Pennsylvania Avenue near Cumberland Street. A 29-year-old died at the hospital, police said.

Around 2:30 p.m., officials said a man was shot on West Fayette Street near North Monroe Street. He died at the hospital, police said.

North Carey Street and Riggs Avenue became the latest shooting scene. Police said a 52-year-old man was shot in the head just after 6 p.m. He died at a hospital, officials said.

"We grew up on love. We grew up on peace. We grew up on power, black power. And I never, never, never thought we'd see anything like this," Eebron said.

Eebron said young people need someone to help them put down their guns and choose the right path.

"They're looking for someone that can save them. They don't want to die and they don't want to kill anybody. They don't want to go to jail. It's senseless killing and our people are tired. They're frustrated," Eebron said.

Anyone with information on any of the shootings is asked to call police.
