Baltimore, MD – June 26, 2018 – History has been made in Baltimore City as Dalya Attar, an Orthodox Jew, has won one of the three delegate spots in the Democratic primary for the 41st legislative district. When she is elected in November she will become a member of the Maryland House of Delegates.

Dalya ran a robust campaign that included vital issues such as education, drugs, crime and safety, to name but a few. Her platform promotes advocating for free, quality education for children, from pre-K to community college; and fighting to bring Baltimore more funding and programs to combat Baltimore City’s heroin problem.

Upon taking office in January, Dalya will undoubtedly be a strong advocate in Annapolis for our community. She will bring along her passion, dedication, and solid work ethic to pursue the goals and objectives of the community and family that raised her.

BJL offers Dalya its heartfelt congratulations and looks forward to seeing wonderful things from her, while she makes a Kiddush Hashem as our representative in Annapolis.
