Baltimore, MD - Oct. 23, 2023  -   The first frost advisory of the season is in effect for parts of Maryland, including Baltimore, overnight Monday into Tuesday morning, accoring to Patch. The National Weather Service warns that outdoor plants are at risk of dying if left uncovered, as temperatures could drop as low as 33 degrees, resulting in frost formation.

This first frost is occurring slightly earlier than the average date of November 15 for central Maryland. It's important to protect sensitive outdoor vegetation from the cold. The best way to do so is by covering them with blankets, bed sheets, or row covers, anchoring them with bricks or rocks. After the frost advisory, the rest of the week is expected to be unseasonably warm, with temperatures possibly reaching 80 degrees by Friday and Saturday.
