Baltimore, MD - July 31, 2023  - Dozens of emergency medical technicians graduated in Baltimore, where there is a desperate need to fill open positions, according to WBALTV. Baltimore City Fire Dept. graduated 53 EMTs and three paramedics. Despite the challenges faced during the COVID-19 pandemic, the graduates expressed determination and readiness to serve the citizens of Baltimore City. Fire Chief-designate James Wallace commended their noble work and expects an immediate impact on services. However, there are still 21 open EMT positions to be filled, and the department is actively working to address staff vacancies. With their dedication, training, and support from the department, these graduates are ready to make a positive difference in their careers, filling crucial roles to help the people of Baltimore.
