The settlement of the Gaza Strip should be the response to the October 7 massacre and the ICC arrest warrants, United Torah Judaism head MK Yitzhak Goldknopf said during a visit to the Gaza border area on Thursday, Israeli media reported.
"The settlement here is the response to the horrible massacre and the response to the International Court in the Hague," the MK said.
Goldknopf was reportedly accompanied by Daniella Weiss, a right-wing activist who advocates for the settlement of Gaza.

Before the ceasefire came into effect on Tuesday, IAF fighter jets, under the direction of the Intelligence Directorate, struck Hezbollah's largest precision-guided missile production site in Bekaa's Janta area. The 1.4-kilometer-long underground infrastructure was used to produce surface-to-surface missiles and components of different weapons and store a range of precision weapons designated to be used in attacks on Israel.
The site was located in an underground compound near the Syrian border. Due to its proximity, the site was a central point through which thousands of weapons components and even terrorist operatives were smuggled between Syria and Lebanon. In the hours preceding the strike on the site, several strikes were conducted in the area to eliminate terrorists and di...

The IDF foiled an attempt by Hezbollah to develop chemical weapons several weeks ago, Channel 12 reported on Wednesday.
The report did not mention any details about the weapons or where they were being developed.
According to the unsourced report, the weapons were meant to be used by Hezbollah's elite Radwan Force during an invasion of Israeli territory. The report notes that while the terror organization was only at the beginning of the development process, Israel is tracking the development of the threat.
A report earlier in the day by Makor Rishon said that soldiers in Lebanon have come across gas tanks, coveralls, and gas masks while searching Hezbollah positions.
The report quotes IDF soldiers who claimed to have been briefed by members of the Home Front Command abo...

During a family trip near an archaeological site in Hod Hasharon, 12-year-old Dafna Filshteiner found an ancient scarab. * The discovery will be presented to the public at the Jay and Jeanie Schottenstein National Campus for the Archaeology of Israel
Dafna Filshteiner, age 12, was recently hiking below the ancient site of Tel Qana in Hod Hasharon, when suddenly, to her surprise, she discovered an unusual find a beetle-like stone used as an Egyptian amulet about 3,500 years ago. “I was looking down at the ground to find porcupine needles and smooth pebbles,” she says. “And suddenly I picked up an interesting stone. I showed it to my mother, and she said it was just an ordinary stone or a bead. But then I saw a decoration and stubbornly insisted it was more than that, so...

The Palestinian Arab Telegram channel "khalelnews," which has over 100,000 followers, published a post on Thursday calling for the murder of former MK Yehuda Glick.
The post, which comes mostly due to Glick's activism for Jewish rights on the Temple Mount, includes a clear mention of the previous attempt on his life about a decade ago: "This criminal's aggression must end with a gunshot like that of the hero Muataz Hijazi."
Glick stated that he submitted a complaint to the police about the post. "I hope the suspects are caught immediately. We can not be silent in the face of this incitement. These threats will never break my spirit to continue working for Jewish rights on the Temple Mount."
A video posted on the channel describes Glick's activism as "offensive t...

Everyone has their favorite Chabad story. Here is mine.
A friend once approached a Chabad shaliach (emissary) who would stand at the entrance to the subway station each and every Friday morning, asking people if they were Jewish and offering to help them lay tefillin. It was exceptionally rare for anyone to stop and accept his offer and my friend wanted to understand how the shaliach kept at it week after week, despite his repeated failure. The shaliach’s response was quintessentially Chabad: “My success rate is 100%. Every Jew that walks by me is reminded that he or she is a Jew.”
Chabad’s dedicated emissaries can be found in every corner of the globe, creating Jewish presence and outposts of Jewish life and caring, reminding Jews of who they are. Accordin...

Several of US President-elect Donald Trump’s Cabinet nominees and appointees have been targeted by bomb threats and swatting attacks, Trump’s transition team announced Wednesday, according to The Associated Press.
The FBI confirmed it is investigating the incidents.
“Last night and this morning, several of President Trump’s Cabinet nominees and Administration appointees were targeted in violent, unAmerican threats to their lives and those who live with them,” Trump transition spokesperson Karoline Leavitt said in a statement.
Leavitt described the attacks as including bomb threats and swatting, a tactic in which false emergency reports are made to prompt an armed law enforcement response against a victim. This method has gained notoriety in recent year...

US President Joe Biden emphasized to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a phone call on Tuesday that, following the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon, the priority should now shift to securing the release of hostages and achieving a ceasefire in Gaza, two US officials told Barak Ravid of Axios on Wednesday.
Currently, 101 hostages remain in Hamas captivity in Gaza, including seven American citizens.
US officials told Axios that Biden is committed to pushing for a hostage release deal until his final day in office, even if President-elect Donald Trump ultimately receives credit for any agreement.
“Biden thinks that doing nothing and telling the hostage families to wait until Jan. 20 would be crazy,” one of Biden's aides told the news website.

Baltimore, MD - Nov. 27, 2024 - The partnership between federal and local leaders has been on full display recently, especially with the news of the largest takedown in recent years resulting in indictments connected to four criminal drug trafficking organizations, and the two top prosecutors say their teamwork is here to stay.
Baltimore City State’s Attorney Ivan Bates and U.S. Attorney for Maryland Erek Barron said their united front is not just for appearances, noting the 6-month long wiretap investigation leading to 39 state indictments involving four different crime rings didn’t just materialize from nothing.
“Things like this didn’t happen before because there was no partnership,” Bates said. “Having that partnership -- I don’t ha...

Israel submitted an announcement to the ICC on Wednesday regarding its intention to appeal to the court against its decision to issue arrest warrants for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
In addition, Israel is demanding that the court delay the implementation of the arrest warrants until the appeal is ruled on.
At the same time, Prime Minister Netanyahu met with US Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), who updated him on the efforts that he is advancing in the US Congress against the ICC and countries that have cooperated with it.
Netanyahu told Gram that "the State of Israel denies the authority of the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague and the legitimacy of the arrest warrants that have been issued against the Prime Minister and the for...

Baltimore, MD - Nov. 27, 2024 - Inflation rose in October, with the Federal Reserve's preferred gauge showing a 2.3% increase from a year earlier, up from 2.1% in September. Core inflation, which excludes food and energy, also edged higher to 2.8% from 2.7%. These figures highlight a stall in the inflation decline seen since its mid-2022 peak of 7%.
Price pressures persist in services such as rent, dining, and insurance, despite broader improvements. Meanwhile, consumer spending and incomes grew robustly in October, with incomes rising 0.6% and spending increasing by 0.4%, supporting continued economic growth.
The inflation uptick and resilient economic activity may prompt the Federal Reserve to slow its pace of interest rate cuts. Economists expect a quarter-point rate cut in...
