IDF Chief of Staff Herz Halevi participated in the situational assessment on Sunday during the strikes on Houthi military targets in Yemen.
In a photo published by the IDF Spokesperson from the situational assessment a list of terrorists who were eliminated so far during the war could be seen on the wall.
On the right side of the picture, the picture of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar could be seen with a question mark over his head.
Last week, the IDF brought bodies from the Gaza Strip to be examined by the Forensic Medicine Institute to check if one may belong to Sinwar. All examinations turned up negative.
Earlier last week, it was reported that Israel was examining the possibility that the architect of the October 7th massacre was killed in an IDF airstrike.
According to Israeli m...

Pope Francis spoke on Sunday with reporters on board his flight back to Rome from Belgium and answered questions about various subjects including the elimination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.
One reporter asked the pontiff: "We read this morning that 900 kg bombs were used for the targeted assassination of Nasrallah. There are more than a thousand displaced, many dead. Do you think that Israel has perhaps gone too far with Lebanon and Gaza? And how can this be resolved? Is there a message for these people there?"
Francis answered: Every day I call the parish of Gaza. More than 600 people are there, inside the parish and the college, and they tell me about the things that are happening, including the cruelties that are occurring there.
"What you are telling me—I didn’...

Due to the fact that the body of the Hezbollah leader was exhumed intact, there are increasing estimates that Nasrallah died as a result of suffocation, in great agony, as reported on Sunday evening by Channel 12 News.
It was also reported that as he was in a place without ventilation the Air Force bombings resulted in gases entering the room, causing him to suffocate to death.
The IDF informed earlier that twenty 20 more terrorists were killed alongside Nasrallah in the attack on Hezbollah's central headquarters.
"In a precise attack by the Air Force and under the direction of the intelligence wing, fighter jets attacked and killed the leader of the Hezbollah terrorist organization Hassan Nasrallah, and the commander of the southern front Ali Karachi, one of the senior comman...

The IDF confirmed on Sunday that during an extensive, intelligence-based aerial operation, dozens of IAF aircraft—including fighter jets, mid-air refueling aircraft, and intelligence aircraft struck military targets belonging to the Houthi terrorist rebels in the Ras Isa and Hudaydah areas of Yemen.
The targets included power plants and a seaport used to import oil, which was "used by the Houthi terrorist regime to transfer Iranian weapons to the region, in addition to military supplies and oil," the IDF stated.
The IDF noted that the strikes were carried out in response to the recent attacks by the Houthis against the State of Israel.
"Over the past year, the Houthis have been operating under the direction and funding of Iran, and in cooperation with Iraqi militias in order to at...

As we know, Rosh Hashanah’s only mitzvah is the blowing of the shofar. The Torah does not tell us much about this mitzvah.[1] In fact, it mentions only two words: zichron (memory) and teru’ah (short sounds).[2] We are meant to use the shofar to blow teru’ot, which generate memory.[3] Who are we trying to remind of what, and how do the teru’ot accomplish this?[4]
Cries of Fear
The gemara[5] explains that the short bursts of the teru’ot are meant to remind us of one crying. The gemara then references Sefer Shoftim’s[6] depiction of Sisra’s mother crying at the window of her home as an example of such cries.[7] Why does the gemara choose her cries as the model of the sounds of the shofar?
Sometimes, we cry because of sad experiences or news. Ot...

Halleluka! Our Sages noted that this rich word of praise was first used when David saw the downfall of the wicked (Brachos 9b). With the assassination of the wicked and murderous Hezbollah terror chief Nasrallah, we must say Halleluka, giving praise to God. We are grateful to God and to the beloved and dedicated soldiers of the IDF who continue to fight to eradicate the vicious evil surrounding Israel. We are grateful and we must express that gratitude, but we are in no mood of celebration. We cannot celebrate because the war is not over and the men and women of the IDF continue to put their lives on the line while their families anxiously await their safe return. We cannot celebrate while tens of thousands continue to be refugees in their own land and while many more live under the cons...

Today, House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-La.), Speaker Johnson, Whip Emmer, and Chairwoman Stefanik released the below statement after the longtime leader of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Beirut.“Hassan Nasrallah’s reign of bloodshed, oppression, and terror has been brought to an end. A puppet of the Iranian regime, he was one of the most brutal terrorists on the planet, and a coward who hid behind women and children to carry out his attacks. Thanks to the brave men and women of the Israeli military, justice was delivered for Israeli victims of his heinous crimes, their families, and the United States. The world is better off without him.“We call on the Biden-Harris Administration to end its counter-productive calls for a ce...

IDF spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari on Saturday spoke for the first time following the confirmation of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah's death.
In his statement, Hagari stressed that following a situational assessment, it was decided to change the instructions for the Israeli home front, restricting gatherings in central Israel to no more than 1,000 people.
In light of these restrictions, sports competitions scheduled to be held in central Israel will be held without an audience.
There are no further changes to the guidelines for central Israel.
When asked if the IDF would still carry out a ground operation, Hagari said, "We have challenging days ahead of us; we still have tasks to carry out. First of all, we must bring home the hostages held cruelly by Hamas in Gaza, ...

Dutch right-wing leader Geert Wilders on Saturday suggested to Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, that he find “a good bunker” in which to hide.
Wilders was responding to a post on X by Khamenei, following the elimination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, in which the Iranian Supreme Leader wrote, “The Zionist criminals need to know that they are far too weak to be able to inflict any significant damage on the solid structure of Lebanon’s Hezbollah.”
Wilders replied, “Well, maybe you’d better look for a good bunker.”
Later, the Dutch politician also replied to Khamenei’s post announcing five days of public mourning for Nasrallah and wrote, “You mourn, we celebrate.”

Colonel Richard Kemp, the former commander of the British military forces in Afghanistan, spoke to Israel National News - Arutz Sheva about the assassination of longtime Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah on Friday.
"Israel’s rapid attrition against Hezbollah in the last two weeks is unprecedented in any military campaign that I know of. Certainly, no other Western country has achieved anything even remotely close in any modern war," Col. Kemp said.
"The damage done to Hezbollah’s leadership by precision airstrikes as well as the pager attacks must be added to repeated strikes by the IDF since Hezbollah began its unprovoked war of aggression nearly a year ago. Key leaders have been progressively eliminated throughout that time as well as destruction of significant qu...

Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of former US President Donald Trump who advised him on the Middle East during his time in office, posted an unusual message on X praising Israel for the elimination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, calling the day of Nasrallah's death the "most important day" in the region since Israel signed normalization agreements with four Arab and Muslim states in 2020.
"September 27th is the most important day in the Middle East since the Abraham Accords breakthrough," Kushner wrote late Saturday night. "I have spent countless hours studying Hezbollah and there is not an expert on earth who thought that what Israel has done to decapitate and degrade them was possible."
"This is significant because Iran is now fully exposed. The reason why their nuclear facili...
