Chairman of National Unity Party, MK Benny Gantz, spoke on Tuesday at the legal conference of the Tel Aviv Bar Association and commented on the incitement against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in response to the hostage deal.
"I would like to state the obvious here – Netanyahu is not a murderer and I condemn the incitement against him. Sinwar is a murderer, Hamas and Hezbollah and the Revolutionary Guards – they are our enemies. But Netanyahu has lost his way and regards himself as the state. And this is dangerous. The United Nations (UN) Security Council will meet this Wednesday for the first time to discuss the issue of the hostages.
The meeting follows an appeal by Israel's Ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, after the barbaric murder of six hostages.
Following Ambassador Danon's address, the US, UK, and France requested a meeting of the Council. This will be the first official discussion by the Security Council on the subject of the hostages since October 7.
Ambassador Danon stated: "After 11 months since the kidnapping of hundreds of innocent civilians, it is certainly time for the Security Council to address this issue. I thank the representatives of the United States, Great Britain, and France for their efforts in convening this meeting."

Since the beginning of the war, the IDF has been working to dismantle and neutralize the underground infrastructure of Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
Troops from the Engineering Unit of the Gaza Division and the Northern Gaza Brigade, in collaboration with the Yahalom Unit, uncovered and destroyed, based on prior intelligence information, an attack underground tunnel route of Hamas in the Beit Lahia area.
The length of the destroyed tunnel route exceeds one kilometer.

Registered voters have until the close of business on September 4 to seek judicial review of the certified ballots.

David Lammy told MPs on Monday afternoon that there was a "clear risk" that the sales could result in arms being used in a way that could breach international law.
Mr Lammy said that the UK is suspending around 30 export licenses for arms and military equipment, out of a total of 350.
This will affect equipment like military aircraft, helicopters and drones.
He said: "Facing a conflict such as this, it is this government's legal duty to review Britain's export licences.
"This is not a blanket ban, this is not an arms embargo."
