General Michael Kurilla, commander of United States Central Command (CENTCOM) who is in charge of American forces in the Middle East, arrived in the region on Saturday as preparations continue for a possible attack against Israel from Iran in retaliation for the eliminations of senior Hamas and Hezbollah leaders, two US officials told Axios. Kurilla's trip to the region was planned before the recent escalation between Israel, Iran and Hezbollah but he is expected to use the trip to try to mobilize the same international and regional coalition that defended Israel against an attack from Iran on Apr. 13, a US official said. Three US and Israeli officials said Iran could attack Israel as early as Monday. According to a US official who spoke to Axios, Kurilla is expected to v...

At around 00:24 a.m., multiple alerts sounded across northern Israel. Some cities and towns where the sirens were heard included Kiryat Shmona, Metualla, Beit Hillel, HaGoshrim, and Kfar Yuval. Social media footage showed a barrage of rockets crossing into the Upper Galilee from Lebanon in the early hours of Sunday as dozens of rockets were launched at the area, Israeli media reported. The footage circulating on social media appeared to show some of the rockets being intercepted. There were no reports of casualties from the barrage. However, KAN news reported that a fire broke out in the moshav of Beit Hillel due to the launch.  On Saturday evening before the barrage, The Kiryat Shmona municipality told its residents to stay near safe rooms due to IDF military operations in the are...
The IRGC claimed Saturday afternoon that the elimination of Ismail Haniyeh was not carried out using an explosive device, but by a missile fired at short range outside his room, with seven kilograms of explosives. According to the Revolutionary Guards, "This terrorist act was planned and executed by the Zionist regime, with the support of the United States government. The arrogant and terrorist Zionist regime will pay decisively for this crime." Earlier, it was also claimed by the Iranian state news agency, Tasnim, that Haniyeh was not eliminated by an explosive device, and that the reports in the New York Times and the Telegraph were "false." The IRGC has also made dozens of arrests following the elimination of Haniyeh, including senior offi...
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office on Saturday night responded to reports that US President Joe Biden expressed deep frustration at Netanyahu's management of the ceasefire-prisoner swap deal. "Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu does not discuss what was said in closed conversations with the President of the US," the statement said. "He does not interfere in American politics, and will work with whoever is elected president - just as he expects from the Americans not to interfere in Israeli politics." According to the Keshet News report, the conversation between the two leaders involved raised voices, and Biden even told Netanyahu, "Stop bullshitting me!" When Netanyahu responded, "We are progressing with the negotiations" and promised that "a delegatio...

The Defense Department stunningly backtracked Friday on a plea deal that Pentagon prosecutors agreed to with three of the terrorists behind the Sept. 11 terror attacks, who await trial in Guantánamo Bay, Cuba.  The deal that stirred national outrage and took the death penalty off of the table has been revoked by Defense Secretary Lloyd J. Austin III in a terse memo.  Secretary Austin III is now taking the lead on the case for 9/11 mastermind Khalid Shaikh Mohammad, Walid Muhammad Salih Mubarak Bin 'Attash, and Mustafa Ahmed Adam al Hawsawi. In his order, Austin relieved the official in charge of the military commission who had signed off on the original plea deals. "Effective immediately, in the exercise of my authority, I hereby withdraw from the three pre...

Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign is blaming former President Trump for the latest negative jobs report — nearly a full term after he left office.  "Donald Trump failed Americans as president, costing our economy millions of jobs, and bringing us to the brink of recession," Harris for President spokesperson James Singer said in a statement.  "Now, he’s promising even more damage with a Project 2025 agenda that will decimate the middle class and increase taxes on working families, while ripping away health care, raising prescription drug costs, and cutting Social Security and Medicare — all while making his billionaire donors richer."  Singer added: "We’ve made significant progress, but Vice President Harris knows there&rsq...

"I am so proud to confirm that Vice President Harris has earned more than a majority of votes from all convention delegates and will be the nominee of the Democratic Party following the close of voting on Monday," Harrison said during a campaign update video call on Friday. "You returned your nomination petitions at lightning speed. You made your voices heard. And what you said was clear: We are not going back. We have to send Kamala Harris to the White House," Harrison said to the delegates in a call plagued by audio issues. "You demonstrated your ...
