The Hezbollah terror group is preparing for Israel's attack to a rocket strike on Saturday that caused the deaths of 12 children and youth.
A senior Hezbollah official told Al Jazeera that foreign emissaries arriving in Lebanon asked the Shiite terror group not to respond to Israel's expected retaliation, but Hezbollah refused.
"We will absolutely respond to any Israeli attack," the official said.
He warned that Hezbollah is also capable of bombing military facilities in Haifa, the Golan Heights, and the Ramat David base, stressing, "We are fully prepared," and that "a ground invasion into Lebanon would provide an incentive to step foot in the Galilee for the first time."

Israel's Health Ministry announced on Tuesday a rise in West Nile virus cases, with 738 patients diagnosed and 51 deaths recorded since the outbreak was first recorded in June.
Among the victims are five people aged 45 to 64, 21 from 65 to 79, and 25 over 80 years old. The elderly are particularly vulnerability to the disease.

Hamas placed the blame for the lack of progress on ceasefire negotiations on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday, who responded that the Palestinian terror group made 29 changes and did not give an answer to the first draft proposed.

Baltimore, MD -- July 29, 2024 - Supporters of a Baltimore City charter amendment trying to protect city parks from the redevelopment of Harborplace face a deadline Monday.
Monday is the deadline to submit petition signatures for charter amendments. They are about 2,500 signatures short of the minimum 10,000 needed.

US National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said Monday that the Golan Heights are part of Israel, confirming that the Biden Administration is continuing the policy enacted by the Trump Administration of recognizing Israel's sovereignty over the region.
