Dr. Anthony Fauci was allegedly "escorted" secretly into CIA headquarters and tried to influence the agency's investigation into the origins of COVID-19, claims Rep. Brad Wenstrup, the chair of the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic.
The Ohio Republican on Tuesday said that the information that has been received "suggests that Dr. Fauci was escorted into Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Headquarters — without a record of entry — and participated in the analysis to 'influence' the Agency's review," reports the New York Post.
Wenstrup outlined the information in a letter he sent to Health and Human Services Inspector General Christi Grimm. The letter did not contain a date that Fauci, the former White House COVID adviser and head...

Former New Jersey Superior Court Judge Andrew Napolitano told Newsmax on Wednesday that Tuesday's ruling in former President Donald Trump's New York fraud case could have a "dramatic effect" on the New York City real estate community, not just the Trump Organization.
"The government argued that the Trump Organization — specifically, the former president and his three adult children — so grossly inflated, overstated, the value of their assets in order to get higher loans and then understated the value of the same assets in order to pay lower taxes, that they actually earned more money than they should have," Napolitano said on Newsmax's "Wake Up America."
"Even though … the banks were paid back, the insurance companies didn't ...

It could be "impossible" to establish a Saudi Arabia-Israel peace deal if a prerequisite is the Palestinians receiving or accepting a Palestinian state, according to former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
Pompeo helped orchestrate the Abraham Accords under US President Donald Trump, which normalized relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, Morocco and Bahrain. But he told The Jerusalem Post on Wednesday that "it is impossible to imagine a two-state solution with the current Palestinian leadership who is underwriting terrorism, taking money from Iran, paying citizens to kill Israelis.
"It is very difficult to imagine how one would strike a deal with the very leaders that have rejected every reasonable offer with which they have been presented."
Pompeo spo...

Former President Donald Trump on Wednesday continued to blast the New York judge who ruled against him a day before.
Judge Arthur Engoron, in a civil lawsuit brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James, ruled Tuesday that Trump and his company deceived banks, insurers, and others by massively overvaluing his assets and exaggerating his net worth on paperwork used in making deals and securing loans.
"I have a Deranged, Trump Hating Judge, who RAILROADED this FAKE CASE through a NYS Court at a speed never seen before, refusing to let it go to the Commercial Division, where it belongs, denying me everything, No Trial, No Jury," Trump posted Wednesday morning on Truth Social. "He made up this crazy 'KILL TRUMP' decision, assigning insanely low values to properties, des...

Hyundai and Kia are recalling nearly 3.4 million vehicles in the U.S. and telling owners to park them outside due to the risk of engine compartment fires.
The recalls cover multiple car and SUV models from the 2010 through 2019 model years including Hyundai’s Santa Fe SUV and Kia’s Sorrento SUV.
Documents posted Wednesday by the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration say the anti-lock brake control module can leak fluid and cause an electrical short, which can touch off a fire while the vehicles are parked or being driven.
The automakers are advising owners to park outdoors and away from structures until repairs are done.
Dealers will replace the anti-lock brake fuse at no cost to owners. Kia says in documents that it will send notification lette...

Yom Kippur is over, but here is a Yom Kippur story that you will never forget:The story of sisters Hanna and Sara Tesler -- uncompromising in total devotion to their faith -- is the story of our people. It's the story of two girls in Auschwitz who wanted to fast on Yom Kippur (even though according to halacha or Jewish law they were not, of course, required to do so). They fasted together with other prisoners but at the end of their fast they understood that their calculation was wrong and Yom Kippur was actually the next day. So they fasted again only to realize that they had again been mistaken and were still one day away from Yom Kippur. So they fasted a third consecutive day in Auschwitz -- and somehow managed to survive.Eventually they were liberated, made aliyah, and settled in ...

Jerusalem, Israel - Sept. 27, 2023 - After years of lobbying, the US announced on Wednesday that Israel has been admitted into the US Visa Waiver Program (VWP). Beginning around December, Israelis will only be required to fill out an Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) form several days before embarking on trips to the US that are not longer than 90 days.
Interestingly, this move is expected to bring relief to US citizens living in Israel, as well. Chaim V’Chessed has long chronicled the difficulties which US citizens encounter when attempting to obtain passports or Consular Reports of Birth abroad. An extreme dearth of appointments often makes wait times for services intolerably long, as appointments are sometimes unavailable for many months.

Z’man Simchateinu
Though there is a mitzvah of simcha on all Yamim Tovim, only Sukkot is described as “z'man simchateinu — the time of our joy.”[1] Of the four times the word “simcha” is used regarding the Yamim Tovim, three of them refer to Sukkos.[2] What is the source of this heightened level of simcha?
The simplest explanation is that we celebrate the successful harvest marked by Sukkot, also known as Chag Ha’asif — the harvest festival[3].[4]
Lifnei Hashem
While other cultures also have harvest celebrations, Sukkot is different in that it focuses on the Beit Hamikdash.[5] We celebrate lifnei (before) Hashem because we (are meant to) realize that He is the cause of our success. Much like the mitzvah of bikkuri...

The Saudi envoy to the Palestinian Authority (PA) on Tuesday visited Ramallah for the first time and presented his credentials to PA chairman Mahmoud Abbas.
During the visit, the envoy, Nayef al-Sudairi, stated that Saudi Arabia "is working towards establishing a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital".
Al-Sudairi, who was appointed last month, is a non-resident envoy, and his visit marks the first time that a Saudi delegation has visited PA-assigned territories since 1967.
“God willing, next time this meeting will take place in Jerusalem,” al-Sudairi told journalists after the meeting.
The visit by al-Sudairi to Ramallah is widely seen as an attempt by the kingdom to address the key sticking point in Saudi-Israeli normalization deal: Saudi Arabia’s...

Canadian House of Commons Speaker Anthony Rota on Tuesday announced his resignation over having invited a man who fought for the Nazis to attend Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's address to Parliament.
“This House is above any of us. Therefore, I must step down as your Speaker,” Rota, who was first elected to the role in December 2019, told the House of Commons, as quoted by The Canadian Press.
Rota was facing pressure to resign after he invited and recognized in the House a Ukraine military veteran now living in Canada who had served in a Nazi unit during the Second World War.
Rota introduced the man, 98-year-old Yaroslav Hunka, as a “war hero who fought for the First Ukrainian Division.”
That division was also known as the Waffen-SS G...

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in recent days signed a letter recommending that Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas allow Israel to join the US Visa Waiver Program, Axios reported on Tuesday, citing two sources briefed on the issue.
While Blinken's letter is largely a technical procedure, it is needed in order for Mayorkas to make a final decision on whether Israel can join the program, which allows a country's citizens to travel to the US for 90 days without first obtaining a visa. The deadline for the decision is September 30.
In his letter, Blinken made clear that Israel has met the criteria for entering the visa waiver program, the two sources said.
The report comes a day after the Foreign Ministry in Israel said it expects the United S...

Sen. Bob Menendez came under heavy pressure to resign Tuesday as a surging number of his Democratic colleagues in the Senate, including fellow New Jersey Democrat Cory Booker, urged him to step aside over the federal bribery allegations against him.
Around half of Senate Democrats have now said that Menendez should resign, including several running for reelection next year. Calls for his resignation, including from the head of the Senate Democrats’ campaign arm, Michigan Sen. Gary Peters, came in quick succession after Booker called on his colleague to step aside. Menendez has refused to leave office but has not yet said whether he will run for reelection next year.

U.S. regulators and 17 states are suing Amazon over allegations the e-commerce behemoth abuses its position in the marketplace to inflate prices on and off its platform, overcharge sellers and stifle competition.
The lawsuit, filed Tuesday in federal court in Amazon’s home state of Washington, is the result of a yearslong investigation into the company’s businesses and one of the most significant legal challenges brought against it in its nearly 30-year history.
The Federal Trade Commission and states that joined the lawsuit allege Amazon is violating federal and state antitrust laws. They are asking the court to issue a permanent injunction that they say would prohibit Amazon from engaging in its unlawful conduct and loosen its “monopolistic control to restore competit...

President Joe Biden grabbed a bullhorn on the picket line Tuesday and urged striking auto workers to “stick with it” in an unparalleled show of support for organized labor by a modern president.
Donning a union ballcap and exchanging fist bumps, Biden told United Auto Workers strikers that “you deserve the significant raise you need” as he stopped in the Detroit area just a day ahead of a planned visit by former President Donald Trump, the frontrunner for the Republican nomination in next year’s election.
“No deal, no wheels!” workers chanted as Biden arrived at a General Motors parts distribution warehouse, one of several facilities that has been targeted in a widening strike now in its 12th day. “No pay, no parts!”
Despite co...

The Congress is starkly divided over very different paths to preventing a federal shutdown — the Senate charging ahead with a bipartisan package to temporarily fund the government but the House slogging through a longshot effort with no real chance of finishing by Saturday’s deadline.
With days remaining before a federal closure, the stakes are rising with no resolution at hand.
A shutdown would furlough millions of federal employees, leave the military without pay, disrupt air travel and cut off vital safety net services, and it would be politically punishing to lawmakers whose job it is to fund government.
President Joe Biden, who earlier this year reached a budget deal with Speaker Kevin McCarthy that became law, believes it’s...
