An indictment against Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) on bribery charges is set to be unsealed later Friday, according to the U.S. Attorney’s office in the Southern District of New York.
Menendez and his wife, Nadine, are charged with bribery offenses, accused of a “corrupt relationship” with three New Jersey businessmen, the office said in a tweet. A press briefing is scheduled for 11 a.m. to announce the charges.
The indictment, first published by Politico, alleges Menendez and his wife agreed to and accepted “hundreds of thousands of dollars” of bribes in exchange for using his “power and influence as a senator” to enrich the three businessmen — Wael “Will” Hana, Jose Uribe and Fred Daibe — as well as benefit Egypt.

Baltimore, MD - Sept. 21, 2023 - Tonight, at Rabbi Yissocher Frand's annual Teshuva drasha, pre-drasha presentations were made by the United Orthodox Jewish Congregations of Baltimore to the Levinson family and to the Boehm family for their annual support of the drasha and of so many community initiatives. As well, a presentation was made to Eli W. Schlossberg who spends the entire year putting his heart and soul in to making the drasha the huge success that it has become.
Additionally, a presentation was made by Rabbi Ariel Sadwin to Maryland Senate President, Bill Ferguson, for his leadership this past session ensuring the continuation of the BOOST scholarship program, a state program that provides several million dollars annually to Jewish Day school families.

Baltimore, MD - Sept. 21, 2023 - Middle School students have been busy learning about and preparing for the Yomim Noraim. During their Halacha classes, boys and girls have learned about the additional Tefilot, the mitzvot of Teshuva and Shofar, and what can and can’t be done on Yom Kippur. MS girls had a Simanim seder during Navi class, and the boys practiced blowing a Shofar. On Wednesday, OCA students had the privilege of hearing words of inspiration from Rabbi Duvy Rubin, Rav of Kehillas Ohr Yisrael. Rabbi Rubin spoke about the power of Tefila, using stories about Rav Shimshon Pincus, the late Rav of Ofakim, to illustrate that Tefila is real and we should take advantage of the dialogue we can have with Hakadosh Baruch Hu.

This week we read the portion of the Torah that is referred to as שירת האזינו — the Song of Haazinu.
Encapsulated within its verses is the full history of the Jewish people, both the collective as well as everyone's personal journey.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took with him to the UN General Assembly an archaeological find from the Tel Jericho archaeological site, which was declared a "Palestinian heritage site" by the UNESCO organization last week.

Jerusalem, Israel - Sept. 21, 2023 - United Hatzalah volunteers are responding to a stabbing incident that took place at the light rail station near Givat HaMivtar in Jerusalem.
United Hatzalah volunteer EMT Moshe Arevlich who was one of the first responders at the scene said, "I treated one person for a stab wound and stopped the bleeding. After he was stabilized at the scene, he was transported by ambulance to the hospital while fully conscious. At the time of transport he was in light condition."

President Isaac Herzog this evening addressed the annual memorial ceremony at Yad LaShiryon, Latrun, for the fallen servicemen and women of the IDF Armored Corps, this year marking 50 years since the Yom Kippur War.

The IDF confirmed a rare attack on Thursday in which Israeli tanks fired on Syrian military structures in the Golan Heights buffer zone.
In a statement, the IDF said the strikes targeted "two temporary structures" used by the Syrian army in violation of the 1974 disengagement agreement between the two countries. It added that the attack was carried out after IDF surveillance identified the day prior a second temporary building in the security area.
"The IDF considers the Syrian regime responsible for everything that happens in its territory and will not allow attempts to violate the separation agreement," the IDF added.
