Besides buying vast quantities of disposable items before the Lieberman tax took effect, yeshivos are also clamping down on the number of disposables they provide for daily use. At Bais Matisyohu in Bnei Brak, each table is provided with the exact number of plates and cutlery necessary, with none left over for bochurim to take up to their rooms. Ohr Yisroel in Petach Tikvah has started using metal utensils and is introducing multiple-use plastic plates, reserving disposables for Shabbos when it is harder to wash dishes. Mishkenos Yaakov in Bnei Brak stopped placing disposable cups at its water cooler and replaced them with 15 glasses. The Strauss food company also followed the trend. After winning a concession for 50 railway refreshment stands, Strauss said ...

State witness Nir Hefetz, a former adviser to former premier Benjamin Netanyahu, took the witness stand on Tuesday in the Jerusalem District Court.
