While Democrats are claiming their massive spending plans are designed to help the poorest Americans, the “multi-trillion-dollar inflation bomb” is a “reverse-Robin-Hood mission” that will only serve a handful of the richest, according to Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah.
“This inflation bomb that they are proposing, which some are estimating could involve $4 trillion, is only going to worsen the already frightening inflation,” Lee told Sunday’s “The Cats Roundtable” on WABC 770 AM-N.Y. “Inflation carries out a reverse-Robin-Hood mission, where we rob the poor to give it to the rich. A small handful of people will get rich off of this.”

Typhoon In-Fa made landfall in Eastern China on Sunday, causing the evacuation of more than 100,000 people, the cancellation of flights in and out of Shanghai and the halting of business operations, according to state media.
In-Fa landed in Zhoushan, Zhejiang province, at 12.30 p.m, local time, with a maximum wind force of 38 meters (125 feet) per second, the China Meteorological Administration said. Local authorities ordered schools, markets and businesses to close, and relocated more than 100,000 people, with forecast rainfall of 10 inches (25.5 centimeters) to 14 inches, media reported.

Jerusalem, Israel - July 26, 2021 - A striking image of a man dressed in a black cap and jacket, holding a bouquet of red flowers, is on display in Jerusalem, Israel's Municipal Plaza, Kikar Safra. One rolled-up sleeve reveals the numbers stamped on his arm. Moshe Haelyon was born in Greece in 1925, and with his family was transported in a packed freight wagon to Auschwitz.
Haelyon is one of 360 survivors, from 35 countries whose portraits are included in the Lonka Project now on display in Jerusalem. It is a day of healing, starting the process of teshuva that culminates on Yom Kippur. This day was traditionally celebrated with matchmaking-building Jewish homes-which is a micro manifestation of Hashem's presence in this world. 1,398 new cases of contamination were diagnosed on Sunday in 24 hour period
108 patients with coronavirus were identified on Monday morning according to an official report from the Ministry of Health, with 11 additional patients in serious condition since midnight.
Among them, 20 people are placed on artificial ventilators, a figure which is rising slowly but continuously.
1,398 new cases of contamination were also diagnosed Sunday in 24 hours out of 67,676 screening tests carried out, a positive test rate of 2.08 percent – a rise from 1.79 percent the day before.

State media reports that some of the demonstrators chanted 'political' slogans
A number of people demonstrated in the center of the Iranian capital Tehran on Monday against power cuts, the state television website reported, with some demonstrators chanting "political" slogans.
It said a "limited gathering" began before noon when some shop owners at the Aladdin and Charsou malls, two of the city's main mobile and tech markets, marched down Jomhouri Street to "protest problems caused by power cuts."
"At the same time, a group tried to use the dissatisfaction and make it political" by chanting "norm-breaking slogans," the website added.
The term "norm-breaking" is regularly used by Iranian media to refer to slogans critical of the authorities in the Islamic Republic.

Nearly three-quarters of voters support reinstating mask mandates in their area if there is a spike in coronavirus cases, a new Hill-HarrisX poll finds.
Seventy-four percent of registered voters in the July 16-17 survey said they support reissuing a mask mandate if their area experiences a rise in cases.
That includes 46 percent who strongly support bringing back mask mandates and 28 percent who somewhat support the idea.
By contrast, 26 percent of respondents said they oppose such a move, including 12 percent who somewhat oppose and 14 percent who strongly oppose.
Ninety-three percent of Democrats said they support reinstating mask mandates if their areas sees an upswing in COVID-19 cases, along with 71 percent of independents and 59 percent of Republicans.

A Dutch Jewish woman who saved the lives of hundreds of Jewish children during the Holocaust was honored in Amsterdam on Sunday.
Seventy-eight years after Henriëtte Pimentel was killed at Auschwitz, she was awarded the Jewish Rescuers Citation at the Verzetsmuseum (The Resistance Museum), a museum telling the story of the “response of the civil Dutch population to the occupation by the dictatorial, racist Nazi-regime,” reported Dutch News.
During the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands, Pimentel ran an Amsterdam daycare situated across from the Hollandsche Schouwburg theatre where Jewish families where placed before being transported to death camps. The Israeli government may impose a fourth lockdown, a senior Israeli health official warned Monday.
Health Ministry Director-General Nachman Ash told the Knesset Channel Monday morning that a new lockdown may be imposed during the upcoming holiday season.
“The upward trend of the number of new cases and also the number of seriously ill patients hasn’t changed,” Ash said, “so the possibility remains.”

The state is seeing a slight uptick in COVID-19 cases as the delta variant surges worldwide.
Maryland reported 306 new cases of coronavirus on Sunday, down from 317 on Saturday. It's the third day in a row of daily cases over 300.
The 7-day average positivity rate rose to 2.05%, the first time the state has been over 2% since May 23.
To date, 7,119,644 vaccines have been administered in Maryland; 3,585,567 people have received the first dose; 3,263,934 people received the second dose and 270,143 people received the one-dose vaccine.

As Chaim V’Chessed has reported, several countries will join the Highest Risk list on July 30. Many student visa holders are currently vacationing in locations which will be added to the list, such as England, Turkey and Cyprus.
At midnight on July 30 (the night between Thursday and Friday), visa holders will be barred from re-entering Israel. Hence, officials have urged that these travelers hasten their return to Israel, and arrive in Israel by Thursday.
We can now share that visa holders who depart the Highest Risk countries and relocate to countries with lower risk before July 30 will be permitted to enter Israel from those locales, without requiring a 14 day stay.
