On Monday, May 10, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) amended the Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine to expand its use in adolescents 12 to 15 years of age. FDA said in a statement:
“The FDA has determined that Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine has met the statutory criteria to amend the EUA, and that the known and potential benefits of this vaccine in individuals 12 years of age and older outweigh the known and potential risks, supporting the vaccine’s use in this population.”

Hamas terrorists on Wednesday night fired a barrage of rockets towards Israel.
Sirens were sounded in the area of Tel Aviv, the Shphelah, the Sharon and for the first time in this round of fighting, rockets were also launched towards the Jezreel Valley.
One rocket hit a home in Rishon Lezion. Several people were lightly injured while running to a shelter, including a 72-year-old man.

The largest gasoline pipeline in America is returning to service, recovering from a cyberattack late Friday that raised pump prices and choked fuel supplies across the Eastern U.S.
The Colonial Pipeline -- a critical source of gasoline and diesel for the New York area and the rest of the East Coast -- was being restarted around 5 p.m. Eastern time, the operating company said in a statement. The Alpharetta, Georgia-based company said over the weekend it was forced to take systems offline on May 7 in response to a ransomware attack.

The Sderot municipality sadly announces the death of Ido Avigal, z'l, H'yd, the five-year-old boy who was hit tonight by a Qassam rocket in an apartment in the city. The employees of the Welfare Department are with the family and accompany them during their difficult time. The mayor, Alon Davidi, met the father this evening when he was informed of his son's death, strengthened him and gave him the condolences of the residents. The boy's mother is hospitalized and his 7-year-old sister has been injured and is undergoing a series of tests.
Davidi: "We mourn the pain of the dear family who joined the Sderot community four years ago and lost their tender son this evening.

Hundreds of protesters marching from Bat Yam to Jaffa attacked an Arab driver, took him out of the vehicle and beat him.
The driver was moderately injured, treated by Magen David Adom paramedics and evacuated to Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv.
The demonstrators rioted in the city of Bat Yam and caused damage to two businesses.

A six-year-old boy was killed when a rocket fired from Gaza struck a residential building in Sderot. United Hatzalah volunteers who responded to the incident were unable to save the child due to the severity of his injuries. In addition, the volunteers treated four other people who were injured, a woman in serious condition and three other people who were in moderate to light condition.

An attempted knife attack was thwarted in the West Bank city of Hebron on Wednesday, according to Hebrew media reports.
The suspected terrorist was "neutralized" following the incident. The condition of the attacker remains unknown.

A Kornet anti-tank guided missile (ATGMs) was fired towards a jeep shortly after the warning was lifted, killing the soldier and severely wounding the others inside including an officer.
One IDF soldier was killed and three others injured after Hamas fired a Kornet anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) towards a jeep near the southern Israeli community of Netiv Ha’Asara on Wednesday morning, after a night of intensive rocket barrages towards the center of the country.
The jeep belonging to the 931rst Nahal battalion was inside the Kibbutz of Netiv HaAsara but was at a spot where it was exposed to the ATGM when it was struck.
