All adult Americans who want to get a vaccine will have had the chance to do so in the next two months, the thinking goes, and they should then be able to make their own risk assessment based on the strong efficacy of the vaccines, which experts believe largely protects fully vaccinated Americans from getting severely ill with the virus and from transmitting it.

The Pew Charitable Trusts report on American Jewry released today contains much of interest, and will be digested and analyzed for weeks and months to come.
But its finding that approximately a quarter of U.S. Jewish adults do not identify at all with the Jewish religion, considering themselves Jewish only in an ethnic or cultural sense, should be deeply troubling to all Jews.
While there are findings in the report that bode well for the future of the Orthodox community, we Orthodox face challenges of our own. The East Coast is experiencing a growing gas shortage, all connected to a cyberattack.
The FBI said Russian hackers shut down the Colonial Pipeline, demanding a ransom.
Lawmakers held a cybersecurity hearing Tuesday, where they talked about the attack that crippled a fuel pipeline, essential to the region. And Maryland is slowly starting to see the impact.
The pipeline issue led the Environmental Protection Agency to issue an emergency fuel waiver for areas impacted by the shutdown, including Maryland.
So, what happens if the problem isn't fixed in the next few days?
It certainly wasn't a problem finding drivers out pumping gas today.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki said that plans to evict dozens of Palestinians from an east Jerusalem neighborhood work "against" U.S.-Israeli interests in finding a solution to the conflict and condemned "extremism that has inflicted violence on both communities."

Over the past few days, our brothers and sisters in Israel have been the victims of fierce and deadly assaults that have left them living in a state of panic and fear. Gangs of Arab rioters roam the streets of Lod, setting a synagogue and dozens of vehicles on fire.
Gangs of Arab rioters roamed the streets of Lod on Tuesday evening, following the funeral of the Arab man who was shot dead during Arab riots in the city the previous night, damaging property belonging to Jews and pelting vehicles with rocks.
A 56-year-old man was seriously injured after his vehicle was pelted with rocks in the city. Magen David Adom paramedics evacuated him to Assaf Harofeh Hospital.
In addition, dozens of vehicles belonging to Jews were set on fire, as was a synagogue in the city.

A cyberattack prompted a shutdown of a gasoline pipeline that serves Maryland. No shortages have been reported at gas stations in the state.
While supplies of gasoline are running out in parts of the Carolinas, Florida and the Atlanta area, there were no reports of gas shortages in Maryland on Tuesday. The problem is a result of a shutdown of a major gasoline pipeline that serves Maryland following a cyberattack.
Federal authorities on Tuesday waived rules that bar the sale of conventional gasoline in Maryland and other areas where reformulated fuel is required. Regulators will permit the sale of gasoline that doesn't meet requirements meant to curtail smog, Bloomberg reported.

Added costs & lost revenue from pandemic has put financial pressure on many yeshivot & seminaries
JERUSALEM, Israel – With many gap-year program budgets for foreign students under pressure from rising costs and lower revenue because of the global pandemic, World Mizrachi, the umbrella group for Religious Zionism, has launched the fundraising initiative called “Ki MiTzion Teitzei Torah” to help 21 institutions.
