White House officials said Friday that states will receive substantially fewer doses of Johnson & Johnson's vaccine over the coming weeks, until the Food and Drug Administration can authorize the company's production facility in Baltimore.
"We expect a relatively low level of weekly doses distributed to states, tribes, territories and our federal channels" until the manufacturing facility is authorized, Jeff Zients, White House coronavirus response coordinator, said Friday.

YouTube pulled a video of a discussion between Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and four medical experts, including one former White House adviser, because the experts questioned the efficacy of masks for children.
YouTube pulled the video on Wednesday and replaced it with a message saying, “this video has been removed for violating YouTube’s Community Guidelines,” as well as a link to the platform’s guidelines. The video and transcript of the deleted post may be viewed in their entirety at the American Institute for Economic Research.

After Moshe is instructed to appoint Aharon as Kohen Gadol, one of his first acts is to review the first Korbanos to be brought in the Mishkan. He tells Aharon to bring a Korban Chattas and Oleh to gain forgiveness for himself and for Bnei Yisroel and then to bring another Korban to be M’chaper for the people. (Shmini, 9:7) If the first Korban was to be M’chaper for Aharon and the people, why was a second Korban necessary to gain forgiveness for the people? Many Mepharshim explain that Aharon needed to be granted forgiveness for the role he played in the Eigel Hazahav. This helps us understand why Ahron needed to bring a Korban for himself but not why the people needed two Karbanos.

Hankuk Chemi, seized in January by Iran's Revolutionary Guards, said heading for Strait of Hormuz
Iran freed South Korea-flagged Hankuk Chemi oil tanker it seized in January, Seoul's foreign ministry said in a statement on Friday.
The ministry specified that the ship's captain has been released, and that the tanker has been able to depart from the Iranian shores, with maritime tracking sites suggesting it is now en route to the Strait of Hormuz.

So Pesach has passed. Another beautiful YomTov where we stop our regular lives to focus on a particular event in our history and engage in some unique Mitzvos of the Chag. Peasach is different than the other Yomim Tovim in that at the Seder there is a requirement that we feel like we ourselves were taken out from Mitzrayim. During the whole year there is a Mitzvah to “remember” Yitzias Mitzrayim[1], but at the Seder there is an additional Mitzvah to tell over the story of Yitzias Mitzrayim (Sipur). What then do we leave with when the last Matzah is eaten and the dishes are put away? Number of seriously ill coronavirus patients falls to 276, out of a total of 429 hospitalizations. Just 0.5% of tests returning positive.
A total of 209 new cases of the coronavirus were diagnosed across Israel Thursday, according to data released by the Health Ministry Friday morning.
Just 0.5% of tests conducted Thursday came back positive, holding at the same rate as Tuesday and Wednesday. That is the lowest level recorded since May 24th last year, when the percentage of tests coming back positive hit 0.4%.

President Biden will sign an executive order Friday establishing a commission to study whether to add seats to the Supreme Court and other reform proposals, the White House announced, fulfilling a promise he made on the campaign trail.
The commission will be chaired by former White House counsel Bob Bauer and Cristina Rodriguez, a Yale law school professor and former deputy assistant attorney general, and largely consists of academics and former officials from across the political spectrum.
It will delve into the issue of potentially expanding the court — an idea that has been floated by some progressives but heavily criticized by Republicans — and which Biden himself has been cool to, though without explicitly ruling out the option.

Officials from the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office took possession of documents potentially related to the Trump Organization and its chief financial officer, Allen Weisselberg, on Thursday as part of an ongoing investigation into the former president’s finances.

A longtime Baltimore police officer allegedly pocketed nearly $10,000 of cash seized during a 2016 raid. The investigation is linked to the Gun Trace Task Force scandal.
Federal prosecutors on Thursday announced an indictment against Ethan Glover charging the 18-year veteran with making false statements to law enforcement and theft of government property. Glover's police powers have been suspended since the investigation began last February. Following the indictment, he was suspended without pay, a police spokeswoman said.

On the joyous day of the inauguration of the Mishkan, tragedy strikes. Nadav and Avihu bring an unauthorized offering and are consumed by fire.
One can only imagine the overwhelming grief their illustrious father, Aharon must have experienced. Yet, the Torah pithily states, וידֹם אהרן — and Aharon was silent. No more, no less.
Was he silent because he was simply ‘stunned’? Or perhaps it was a silence of acceptance of his fate?
There are many verbs that connote silence: חרש, שתק, חשה, yet the Torah used specifically the root דמם.
Some suggest it alludes to the lowest in the four strata of life: דומם — mineral, צומח — vegetable, חי — animal, מדבר — [speaking] human.
