Texas Governor Greg Abbott made the “statewide announcement” Tuesday afternoon that it’s time to open Texas 100% and he ended the mask mandate.

Former President Trump and former first lady Melania Trump both received coronavirus vaccines in January, an adviser confirmed to The Hill on Monday.
The two got their first dose while in the White House and have since received their second dose, the adviser said. It was not clear whether they received the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine.
The Trumps both contracted the coronavirus in late September, with the former president spending three days in the hospital due to more severe symptoms.

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) called on Monday for the House Judiciary Committee to hold a public hearing on “cancel culture,” arguing that the committee should investigate what he claimed was a wave of “censorship” occurring in private companies, on college campuses, and other facets of American life.

The Cabinet has voted to largely open Ben Gurion Airport for Israeli citizens. Beginning Sunday, March 7, three thousand Israeli citizens will be permitted to enter Israel. These passengers will not need special permits to return to Israel; rather the flow will be controlled by limitations on the number of flights.
All returning passengers will be required to take Covid tests upon arrival to Israel. Those who have not recovered from Corona or have been vaccinated will need to quarantine. They will be able to do so at home, if they consent to wearing ankle bracelet monitoring devices. Those who do not consent will be forced to quarantine in government hotels.

The director-general of Israel’s health ministry suggested on Tuesday that the government’s latest decisions to lift coronavirus restrictions were influenced by politics and the upcoming March 23 election, the fourth in two years.
“We all assess that all these discussions are influenced and tainted by the panic over elections and are affected by it,” Health Ministry Director-General Chezy Levy told Radio 103FM in an interview.

Baltimore, MD - Mar. 2, 2021 - Over a month ago, on Jan 22, 2021, I was a guest on a popular radio show discussing the gross inequities of Baltimore City’s vaccine distribution. I was hoping that would be the last time I would feel obligated to point out the lopsided and ineffective manner the vaccine was being administered.
Unfortunately, things have not gotten measurably better. While there was a slight improvement in the increase of Baltimore City residents actually obtaining a vaccine, most of the vaccines are going to non-residents.
Baltimore City’s vaccine distribution is not equitable on any metric. Not equitable by population size, not by the number of people eligible, and not based on the vulnerability of exposure to Covid-19.

In Shmos 30:12 the posuk teaches us that when counting the Jewish people, one must count them by collecting a coin from each person and the coins are then counted. The Medrash quotes two pesukim in Tehillim 3:3 and 3:4. The first posuk tells us, “Many say that our souls have no help, only with Hashem forever.” The second posuk says, “But you, Hashem, protect me.” The Medrash equates these two pesukim with the above mentioned posuk in Shmos 30:12 that instructs how to count the Jewish people. It is a very hard Medrash to understand.
