On Shabbat morning, just after 10 a.m., United Hatzalah volunteer EMT Avraham Farkash was walking to synagogue in the town Ma'ale Hever when he was alerted to a nearby medical emergency. Avraham’s communications device notified him of the address, which he recognized immediately, being as it was his neighbor’s home.
Turning around and running back towards his home Avraham grabbed his defibrillator from the car and made it to his neighbor’s home in under two minutes. The 50-year-old man had been suffering acute chest pains and called United Hatzalah’s Dispatch and Command Center out of fear that he might be suffering a heart attack.

One would have been forgiven for assuming it an elaborate Purim joke. In fact, assuming otherwise would have strained credulity.
But credible, unfortunately, it is. “It” — a new glossy magazine I prefer not to name, aimed, its marketing team says, at Jewish “men age 25-65 from the right and the left who are Conservadox, Modern Orthodox or Yeshivish; and live in Flatbush, Lakewood, the Five Towns and Bergen County” — is apparently all too real, a crazy cartoon come to life.
The new periodical is for you. If, that is, you “are enthralled by men’s luxury and higher end products.” If so, the mag “has it all covered for you,” focusing on “all fine goods in the consumption industries for Jewish men,&rdquo...

Under the restrictions, diners at restaurants could only stay for an hour. With that restriction gone, the new rules allow any restaurant to increase its indoor capacity to 25% and outdoor dining to 50%.
The announcement came Wednesday from Mayor Brandon Scott, who felt optimistic on current COVID-19 health trends in the city -- along with the help of vaccines.

Baltimore, MD - Feb. 21, 2021 - 9:07PM - Here’s our final call for the Monday morning snow event. Only change was to add a 1-3” zone for northern Maryland into Pennsylvania. 3” seems to be a bit high, but not out of the question if heavier snowfall rates occur.
Elsewhere, sleet and freezing rain could cause a light glaze of ice on some surfaces. This combined with snow could make for hazardous travel impacts for the Monday morning commute. Because of this, the NWS has issued a WINTER WEATHER ADVOSORY for northern Maryland and much of Pennsylvania.

Rav Eliezer Yehuda Finkel, rosh yeshiva of Yeshivas Mir Yerushalayim, said today that bochurim in the Mir from the Diaspora should remain in Eretz Yisroel for Pesach, because it is unclear that they’ll be able to return to Eretz Yisroel after Yom Tov due to the current Covid-19 situation.

International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors found uranium particles at two Iranian nuclear sites that Iran tried to block access to, according to a Friday report.

Nearly half of Republicans say they would abandon the party as it is currently structured and join a new party if former President Trump was its leader, according to a new poll released Sunday.
A Suffolk University-USA Today poll found that 46 percent of Republicans said they would abandon the GOP and join the Trump party if the former president decided to create one. Only 27 percent said they would stay with the GOP, with the remainder indicating they would be undecided.
