Egypt, France, Germany and Jordan declared on Tuesday that they would not recognize any moves on Israel’s part to extend sovereignty to the Jordan Valley and parts of Judea and Samaria. In a statement released by the German Foreign Ministry following a joint video conference on the issue, the foreign ministers of the four countries stated: “We exchanged views on the current state of the Middle East Peace Process and its regional implications. We concur that any annexation of Palestinian territories occupied in 1967 would be a violation of international law and imperil the foundations of the peace process. We would not recognize any changes to the 1967 borders that are not agreed by both parties in the conflict.” The statement continued: “We also concur that such a...
The Gaza-based jihadi group Jaysh Al-Islam has released a video threatening Israel with a violent response if it declares sovereignty over parts of Judea and Samaria, according to a report shared exclusively with JNS on Monday by the Middle East Media Research Institute’s Jihad and Terrorism Threat Monitor. According to the MEMRI JTTM report, the July 1 video titled “Evil Is the Morning of Those Who Were Warned” features a speaker identified as Abu Maslamah, who reads a message warning Israelis that they will face a violent response should they proceed with the annexation and urges Muslims to take action to prevent it. Abu Maslamah is filmed against a background of images and footage of Jerusalem, including the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock. His message begin...
The Trump administration submitted a notice of withdrawal from the World Health Organization to the United Nations secretary-general, a senior administration official told Fox News on Tuesday, after President Trump for weeks had blasted the WHO’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic and what he called its pro-China bias. The White House also notified congressional lawmakers Tuesday of the official removal, effective July 2021. "Congress received notification that POTUS officially withdrew the U.S. from the @WHO in the midst of a pandemic," Sen. Bob Menendez, D-N.J., tweeted. Menendez argued, "To call Trump’s response to COVID chaotic & incoherent doesn't do it justice. This won't protect American lives or interests&m...
After weeks of intense advocacy by Agudath Israel and others, the New York City Board of Health is expected to vote today to allow childcare programs to reopen effective Monday July 13th with safety guidelines in place. Today is #BlackOutDay2020, when many Black Americans plan to showcase their combined economic might by refusing to spend any money on anything at all. Those who have to buy something are being encouraged to spend their money at a Black-owned business. Social media personality and activist Calvin Martyr has spent the last two months promoting the campaign after raising the idea in a video that has been shared thousands of time on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Major companies like Procter & Gamble (PG) and Cisco Systems, organizations like the historically Black sorority Zeta Phi Beta and celebrities like rapper T.I. have expressed support for the initiative on social media. The objective of #BlackoutDay2020 is to force politicians and the business world to end institutionally raci...
Professor Siegal Sadetzki, head of Public Health Services in the Israeli Health Ministry, resigned on Tuesday, voicing harsh criticism of the ministry’s handling of the second wave of COVID-19. Sadetzki stated in her resignation letter that the country had “lost its way” with regard to its handling of the crisis, and that her professional opinion was being ignored. “The success in the first wave [of COVID-19] is being wiped out by the rapid and extensive lifting of restrictions. The transition to the second stage in Israel was much faster than in other Western countries. The atmosphere regarding treating the virus and how decisions are made changed fundamentally, and we see the results,” wrote Sadetzki. Israel has experienced a surge in new coronavirus case...

Pentagon leaders are considering a draft policy that would ban the display of Confederate flags at military installations, according to reports. According to the draft, a copy of which was obtained by the Associated Press, a ban would preserve “the morale of our personnel, good order and discipline within the military ranks and unit cohesion.” It adds that a “significant” portion of the military population and their families are minorities and “it is beyond doubt” that many “take grave offense at such a display.” Read more at THE NY POST.

Former Military Intelligence Iran branch head says explosions in recent days at Iranian sites increases public criticism of authorities. Former Military Intelligence Iran branch head Lieutenant Colonel Miki Segal, currently a researcher at the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs and State, responded to an Iranian government spokesman who called claims that Israel was behind the explosion in Natanz propaganda and psychological warfare. "Iran's under heavy pressure - economically, politically, and internally," Segal said in a conversation with Arutz Sheva. He says the series of incidents in Iran occurs at the height of the Iranian coronavirus crisis and in the midst of the U.S. sanctions against the regime that are inflicting severe economic damage. Among other things, the ...

A study in Spain has found that only a small percentage of people have COVID-19 antibodies, warning that herd immunity will be “difficult to achieve.” With at least 251,789 diagnosed cases and at least 23,388 deaths, Spain has been one of the worst-affected countries in the coronavirus pandemic, according to data from Johns Hopkins University. The Spanish study, which was published in the Lancet, involved more than 61,000 participants. Experts from the Institute of Health Carlos III in Madrid, the Spanish Ministry of Health and Harvard’s T.H. Chan School of Public Health worked on the project. Just 5 percent of those surveyed had antibodies, a number which fell to less than 3 percent in coastal regions, although this was higher in some other parts o...
JERUSALEM (VINnews) — A Chareidi woman posted on Facebook pointing out the difference between the way Israeli police are treating Chareidim not wearing masks and secular people flouting the regulations. In one instance a wealthy man organized a Bat Mitzva celebration for his daughter with 1000 participants- a clear violation of regulations limiting events to 250 people. Police however said that they would give out masks to guests but did not want to fine people in order not to “ruin the event.” When it came to a young Chareidi girl in Jerusalem who was not wearing a mask while walking her little siblings down the street, police did not feel the need to demonstrate sensitivity. They detained her, causing tremendous emotional pain, and wanted to fine her until passersby in...
ODESSA, TX (Newsmax) – A West Texas doctor says an inhaled steroid, budesonide, a drug commonly used to treat asthma, is the “silver bullet” for COVID-19. “It’s an inhaled steroid that doesn’t have the side effects of total body steroids but it has the benefits,” Dr. Richard Bartlett said in a recent interview with KWES-TV in Odessa. “It’s like putting out a fire at the base of the fire. I’m having patients recover so quick.” Bartlett, an emergency room doctor for 28 years, said he has been treating high-risk COVID-19 patients such as the elderly or those with conditions such as heart disease and cancer, with the inhaled steroid. COVID-19 starts off in the respiratory system but then moves on to cause severe inflammation t...
(WASHINGTON) -- The current state of the COVID-19 pandemic in the U.S. is "really not good," Dr. Anthony Fauci, the country's top infectious disease expert, said Monday amid an alarming rise in new cases and hospitalizations. His comments were in stark contrast with those of President Donald Trump, who has sought to play down the danger in states where governors and mayors are struggling to control outbreaks after reopening -- outbreaks the president has called "embers." Fauci said the current state of the pandemic in the U.S. is worsening in part because, unlike Europe, states and cities in the U.S. moved to reopen before the country sufficiently lowered the number of cases. Several states in the south and west have seen surges in the number of people testing positive in recent we...
