New pictures show convicted Nazi war criminal John Demjanjuk at Sobibor, where he denied ever being a guard there—reportedly the first time that he has been identified in photos at the death camp.
The images came from the estate of Johann Niemann, a deputy commandant at the camp who was one of 10 SS-men killed by inmates during the October 1943 uprising.
Part of his collection will become public at the Topography of Terror archive in Berlin on Jan. 28, in addition to a new book scheduled to be released that day.
“The Niemann collection expands our knowledge of ‘Aktion Reinhard,’ the murder of 1.8 million Jews in the Sobibor, Belzec and Treblinka camps,” said the archive in a statement.

An 80-Year-Old woman was evacuated from a burning building in Arad in serious condition. The incident took place on Elazar Ben Yair St. in the southern city.
United Hatzalah volunteer EMT and Arad Chapter Head Avi Elchayani was one of the first responders at the scene who treated the woman and said: "Firefighters evacuated the older woman from the burning apartment. After she was outside, I together with other EMS personnel who had arrived performed CPR on the woman and we managed to bring back her pulse. After her pulse returned she was transported to the hospital. She was suffering from burns and respiratory problems caused by smoke inhalation."

United Hatzalah volunteer EMT Shmuel Eifergen who was one of the first responders at the scene relayed: "According to neighbors, the boy fell from a window on the 5th-floor a landed on the ground below. He was severely injured and is in critical condition. Together with a volunteer paramedic from United Hatzalah and other EMS personnel performed CPR on the child at the scene, after which he was taken to the hospital while still undergoing CPR"

The Chinese government has quarantined the city of Wuhan and plans to shut down the airport and public transportation within hours amid an outbreak of the coronavirus, according to reports on the country’s social networks. Several Gur Chasidim have announced that they received the blessing of their rebbe to leave the sect's Chaifa community, Behadrei Haredim reported.
According to the site, anyone requesting to leave the city received the rebbe's blessing to do so.
The requests were made following a Health Ministry report regarding the air pollution in the city.
"This is the topic of conversation now in Haifa," one of the hasidim told Behadrei Haredim. "Wherever you go, everyone is talking about how Gur hasidim are leaving here. I hear they're moving to all over Israel. People are leaving, but first they make sure to find a livelihood in the new place, they don't just leave."

A United Nations investigation to be released Wednesday will report that Amazon founder Jeff Bezos’s cellphone was hacked in 2018 after he got a WhatsApp message that came from an account purportedly belonging to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, according to a person with direct knowledge of the report.
The report is expected to detail a forensic investigation into long-standing allegations by Bezos, the world’s richest man, that the Saudi launched a cyberattack on him as part of a complex series of conflicts among Bezos, the Saudis, President Donald Trump and the National Enquirer tabloid.
