President Trump on Sunday said that buying Greenland isn’t “No. 1 on the burner” but quipped that Denmark may want the US to take the world’s biggest island off its hands to save money.
“Denmark, essentially, owns it. We’re very good allies with Denmark, we protect Denmark like we protect large portions of the world. And so the concept came up and I said certainly, strategically it’s interesting. And we’d be interested.”
Trump then suggested that Greenland was “hurting Denmark very badly” throwing out the figure that it cost the Danish government “$700 million.”
“So they carry it at a great loss. And strategically for the United States it would be nice,” Trump added.

The NYPD’s largest union called out Mayor Bill de Blasio on Sunday over a massive melee in Brooklyn that left three officers with minor injuries.
One of the injured cops was head-butted by a teen who was allegedly caught with a canister of pepper spray, the NYPD said.
Bottles and other debris were also hurled at cops from above, but no one was hit by the projectiles that are believed to have been tossed out of windows or rooftops in the sprawling Marcy projects in Bedford-Stuyvesant, the NYPD said.
“How are cops supposed to do our job in this environment? When will @NYPDNews or @NYCMayor @BilldeBlasio stand up & say enough is enough?” the Police Benevolent Association fumed on Twitter.
“Chaos is running the streets. This is outrageous — we’re luc...

Israeli doctors at a Jerusalem hospital have saved a one-and-a-half-year-old Syrian toddler with a heart defect whose parents fled with him from the carnage of their country’s civil war.
The child’s mother — identified only as L. — told Israeli news website Mako on Saturday that she and her husband knew their son was ill very early.
“He looked small for his age and very thin,” she said. “I felt something was wrong. He seemed to be in pain all the time, crying, uneasy, especially when he was asleep.”
A doctor later told her that her son was suffering from a serious congenital heart problem. He was hospitalized eight times in Syria and regularly medicated. L. later went to Jordan with her husband, but doctors there told her there was no surg...

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A surveillance plane could be flying over the skies of Baltimore once again.
The plane was first used in 2016 as part of a test program that the Baltimore Police Department kept secret.
The creator of the plane explained that it works together with the cameras we see on the street to solve otherwise unsolvable crimes.
And he’s hoping that the Baltimore police commissioner signs off on his technology.
Persistent Surveillance Systems owner, Ross McNutt showed WJZ images from his surveillance plane from the last time it flew over Baltimore.
“By taking that picture every second, we’re able to go back in time to where crimes occur and follow people to and from a crime scene.” McNutt said.

The new program, called Fulfillment by Amazon Donations, will allow third-party sellers that store their inventory in Amazon warehouses to donate unsold products to charity. Beginning September 1, the donation program will become the default, though sellers can still opt out.
Amazon has partnered with Good360 in the United States to help it distribute the donated items. Good360 is an organization that partners with retailers and manufacturers to help distribute goods to charities based on need.

Anthony Scaramucci says that the political left should view the president’s loyal supporters as members of a cult that need to be deprogrammed.
During an Fox News interview Sunday with Howard Kurtz, the one-time White House director of communications warned, “We recognize that the president is a clear and present danger to the American society—the American culture,”
“There are many people inside the White House and in the Cabinet. I would ask the left to… create an off-ramp for those people,” he added. “Because when you’re trying to deprogram people from a cult, one of the first things you have to do is allow them to change their mind.”

The Hamas terror group has sent a message to Israel warning of the danger in retaliating for the rocket attacks.
According to the London-based Al-Araby Al-Jadeed, Hamas’ message, sent through third parties, included the following threat: “Either the commitment to relieve the siege on Gaza will be implemented, or there will be an escalation.”
According to the report, Hamas is threatening to escalate the violent weekly border riots it calls the “March of Return” and to work together with other organizations to actively fight the Israeli “attacks.”
The report also said that continued pressure on Gaza would cause the expansion of “independent” terror attacks and a widescale military conflict.
