Washington - As the world anxiously awaits the findings of the Russia investigation, special counsel Robert Mueller flashed a smile Sunday after going to church with his wife in Washington.
Mueller and his wife, Ann, were at the morning service at St. John’s Episcopal Church near the White House. The couple filed out in a line of parishioners after the services.
Mueller was smiling outside the church before he walked directly past the White House and headed to his car.
Mueller officially concluded his investigation on Friday into possible coordination between Russia and Donald Trump’s presidential campaign. United Hatzalah volunteers responded to an emergency involving a firebomb that was thrown at a bus near the Git intersection in Samaria. United Hatzalah first responders who arrived at the scene reported that the driver of the bus was uninjured and claimed that there were no other passengers on the bus.

A second survivor of the Parkland shooting has died by suicide, the Coral Springs Police Department in Florida confirmed to the Miami Herald on Sunday.
Police told the newspaper that a current Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School student died in “an apparent suicide” on Saturday night.
The death of this student follows that of 19-year-old Sydney Aiello, a survivor of the mass shooting in Parkland, Florida, who died by suicide last weekend.
Aiello was a young woman who a Marjory Stoneman Douglas teacher described as a joy to have in class.
Aiello was close friends with Meadow Pollack, one of 17 people to be killed by a mass shooter last year. Aiello's mother said that her daughter felt survivor's guilt and was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder...

Ocean Township’s protracted battle to block a Yeshiva and dorm for 96 college-age students had nothing to do with concerns about nearby Lakewood’s expanding Orthodox Jewish community, the mayor said.
“This wasn’t about religion,” said Mayor Christopher Siciliano, adding that Ocean itself has a large Jewish community and more synagogues than churches. “It was about preventing the overuse of a property in a residential neighborhood.”

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. officials are preparing an official document to codify recognition by the United States of Israeli sovereignty of the Golan Heights and President Donald Trump is likely to sign it next week, a senior administration official said on Friday.
Trump announced on Thursday that it was time for the United States to recognize Israeli sovereignty of the Golan Heights that Israel seized from Syria in 1967. Trump is likely to sign the presidential document when Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visits Washington on Monday, the official said.
Trump’s announcement marked a dramatic shift in U.S. policy and gave a boost to Netanyahu, who is in a closely contested race in the April 9 election while also fighting allegations of corruption, which he denies.

Honduras announced plans to move its diplomatic mission in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, opening a new embassy in the Israeli capital city.
President Juan Orlando Hernandez made the announcement Sunday, during the 2019 American Israel Public Affairs Committee conference in Washington DC.

A White House official said US President Donald Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser joined about 40 people for the reading Thursday in the White House.
Also present were Ivanka Trump, Kushner’s wife and also a senior adviser to her father, Jason Greenblatt, the chief negotiator on the Israeli-Palestinian Authority (PA) peace plan team that Kushner helms, and Elan Carr, the State Department envoy monitoring anti-Semitism.

Addis Ababa - The warning and training requirements set for the now-grounded 737 Max 8 aircraft may not have been adequate, in light of the Ethiopian plane crash that killed 157 people, the chief of Ethiopian Airlines said Saturday.
After the Lion Air crash off Indonesia in October, the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration and Boeing “came up with contents that we incorporated in our working manuals and also briefed all our pilots. But today we believe that might not have been enough,” Tewolde Gebremariam told The Associated Press in an interview in Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa.
Ethiopian Airlines insists the carrier’s pilots went through all the extra training required by Boeing and the FAA to fly the 737 Max 8 jet. The March 10 crash killed people from 35 countries.

Majdal Shams - Dozens of Druze Arabs, some carrying Syrian flags and pictures of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, gathered on the Golan Heights on Saturday to protest U.S. President Donald Trump’s support for Israeli sovereignty over the territory.
The mountainous plateau was part of Syria until Israel captured it in the 1967 Middle East war, annexing it in 1981 in a move not recognized internationally.
Israel regards the Golan as a strategic asset because its peaks overlook northern Israeli towns and southwest Syria, where battles from an eight-year civil war have raged in view.

New York - Rockland County legislators have adopted a new law that bans most single-use plastic bags at retail outlets, restaurants and grocery stores.
In a bipartisan 14-3 vote, lawmakers backed a measure that was sponsored by County Legislators Laurie Santulli (R-Congers) and Nancy Low-Hogan (D-South Nyack). Passage followed a two-hour public hearing where speakers overwhelmingly supported the ban.
The resolution was sent to the County Executive on Wednesday. He has 21 days to approve it, veto it or take no action.

More than 20,000 people have signed petitions calling for New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern to win the Nobel Peace Prize for her response to a pair of mosque shootings that killed 50 people.
A change.org petition to the United Nations had gained more than 20,000 signatures as of Sunday morning. A French petition calling for the prime minister to win the prestigious annual award had nearly 3,000 signatures.

A 12-year-old girl was killed and a pregnant woman was critically injured in a hit-and-run Friday night in Catonsville, Baltimore County police said.
Police said officers were called around 9:21 p.m. to North Rolling Road at Johnnycake Road, where a car struck both pedestrians as they crossed North Rolling Road. Police said the vehicle made no attempt to stop and continued south on North Rolling Road.
The 32-year-old woman was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. She was in stable condition Saturday morning, police said. The condition of her pregnancy was unknown.
The 12-year-old girl, Maria Popal, was taken to Sinai Hospital, where she died.

The Israeli military started to issue plans to ready itself for next week’s confrontation with Palestinian protesters, as the weekly March of Return protests mark a one-year anniversary.
According to reports in Israeli media, the number of troops stationed on the border could be doubled over the next week.

GoFundMe is reportedly banning campaigns from its platform that raise money to spread anti-vaccination messages.
Bobby Whithorne, a spokesman for the crowdfunding platform, told the Daily Beast in a report published Friday that campaigns raising money “to promote misinformation about vaccines” violate GoFundMe’s terms of service, adding that such campaigns will be removed from the site.
“We are conducting a thorough review and will remove any campaigns currently on the platform,” Whithorne told the Daily Beast. Anti-vaccination groups have raised at least $170,000 on the site in the past four years.
