A security guard observed and confronted a suspicious man canvassing the outside of Ohel Chana High School, located inside Etz Jacob Congregation. When he become belligerent the security guard shot him in the leg.
The School sent the following letter to the parent body:
Dear OCHS Parents,We want to inform you about an incident that took place at the school this afternoon.An individual was canvassing the outside of the school building. When he was confronted by our school security guard. Security officials have raised concerns regarding Chinese investment in Israeli technology firms, causing Israel’s government to inspect the flow of funds and businesses to rethink taking Chinese money.
Israel will form an interagency government body to oversee fragile commercial agreements involving foreign businesses, according to US and Israeli officials, similar to the US’s Committee on Foreign Investment.

Former Attorney Gen. Eric Holder said Tuesday he is in the final stages of deciding whether to seek the 2020 Democratic nomination for president and plans to decide in about a month.
Holder said he has met with former President Barack Obama, in whose administration he served from 2009 to 2015, to discuss a presidential candidacy.
Asked by reporters whether there is a place for him in a Democratic field that already includes nine declared candidates and many others exploring the race, he said, “I’m going to decide whether I’m going to try to find that space in the next month or so.”

Alison Chabloz, 54, from Glossop, Derbyshire, wrote three songs mocking the Holocaust and sang them online. In the songs Chabloz suggested the Holocaust was “a bunch of lies” and referred to Auschwitz as a “theme park”.
In May she was convicted of three charges relating to the songs and was given a suspended jail sentence by magistrates which she appealed against.
A judge at Southwark Crown Court has upheld her conviction ruling the content was “particularly repellent” and that Chabloz was “manifestly anti-Semitic”, a ” Holocaust denier” and “utterly obsessed with what she perceives to be the wrongdoing of Jews”.

Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked said on Tuesday that Israel was willing to help reconstruct the Gaza Strip in exchange for full demilitarization of the Hamas-ruled coastal enclave.
Co-leader of the recently-formed New Right party, which touts itself as a joint secular-religious venture, Shaked spoke in English to an audience of Anglo-Israelis in a question-and-answer event at the Tel Aviv Port.
Asked about the New Right’s position on the ongoing conflict with Hamas, Shaked replied, “First of all, we have always said that we are ready to do reconstruction in return for disarmament, demilitarization.”

Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri pledged on Tuesday that the new government will protect the country’s sovereignty and that Lebanese citizens have the right to “resist Israeli occupation and repel its aggression,” in a reference to the Iranian-backed terror group Hezbollah.

Tehran - Iranian President Hassan Rouhani blamed the United States and its regional allies on Thursday for a suicide bombing in southeastern Iran that killed 27 members of the country’s elite Revolutionary Guards, Iranian state TV reported.

Philadelphia - Former Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz acknowledged the manager of one of the company’s shops in Philadelphia where two black men were arrested last year might not have called authorities if the two men had been white.
The acknowledgement came Wednesday night at an event in Philadelphia where Schultz was confronted by the person who first shared the video of two black men getting arrested at the shop.

Washington - The Senate on Thursday confirmed William Barr as attorney general, placing the veteran government official and lawyer atop the Justice Department as special counsel Robert Mueller investigates Russian interference in the 2016 election.

Majdal Shams, Golan Heights - Carrying Syrian flags and pictures of President Bashar al-Assad, hundreds of Arab Druze who live on the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights gathered on Thursday to mark the annexation of the territory Israel captured from Syria in the 1960s.

A 15-year-old girl, Tehilla bas Yael, was seriously injured in school on Thursday, after a metal pipe struck her head.
The incident happened shortly after 1:00PM on David Yellin Street in the capital.
According to police, it appears the metallic object flew into the school from an adjacent construction site.

Barely a decade after the double-deck, 500-plus-seat plane started carrying passengers, Airbus said that key client Emirates is cutting back its orders, and as a result, “we have no substantial A380 backlog and hence no basis to sustain production.”
