FLINT, MI -- Officials have confirmed a man attacked a police officerwith a knife today at Bishop Airport, and scheduled an 11 a.m. news conference on the incident.
The airport was evacuated at about 9:40 a.m. today, June 21, after the stabbing of an on-duty officer.
A witness at the airport said he saw a police officer bleeding from the neck and a knife laying nearby before the terminal was evacuated.
The man said he saw a man detained by police and a knife on the ground near the injured officer.

Photos were released by Hizbullah and the terrorist organization reports that what is seen in the photos was furnished by Hizbullah cameras maintaining a watchful eye on IDF troops entering an area in Lebanon.
According to Hizbullah, soldiers were involved in intelligence gathering.
While the photos may be Hizbullah propaganda, they may also be accurate. Needless to say, the IDF is not commenting at this time.

The event featured guest speaker Rabbi Lipa Geldwerth a Magid Shiur in Torah Temima and Rov of Kehillas Kol Torah in Flatbush, NY. Rabbi Geldwerth described his joy at participating in such a momentous occasion. JERUSALEM (JTA) — Jared Kushner upon arriving in Israel on Wednesday visited the family of an Israeli border policewoman stabbed to death by a Palestinian terrorist.
Kushner, a senior adviser to President Donald Trump as well as the president’s Jewish son-in-law, is in Israel to lead the Trump administration’s push for restarted peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians.
He and the U.S. ambassador to Israel, David Friedman, visited the family of Hadas Malka for about a half hour, Ynet reported, citing a close friend of the Malka family. Kushner told the family that “the president himself asked him to express condolences on behalf of the United States.”

JERUSALEM (JTA) — Swastikas were painted on the walls inside of a synagogue in central Jerusalem.
The vandalism was discovered Wednesday morning in the Hasidic Lelov synagogue in the Nachalot neighborhood. Swastikas were painted as well as on the outside walls of nearby apartment buildings.
Police said the vandal or vandals also attempted to set fire to religious books in the synagogue. No suspects have been identified.
Swastika attacks on synagogues in Israel reportedly are rare.

JERUSALEM (JTA) — Israeli forces arrested the mother of a Palestinian teenager involved in the murder of an Israeli border policewoman over statements she made glorifying terrorism and calling for more attacks on Jews.
The woman was arrested Wednesday morning after telling Israel’s Kan national broadcaster in an interview that she was proud of her son and that she wanted him to kill “20, 50, 100 of them,” referring to the Israeli security forces in Jerusalem.

Gaza - Egypt on Wednesday trucked 1 million liters of cheap diesel fuel to the Gaza Strip’s sole power plant — a rare shipment that temporarily eased a crippling electricity crisis in the Hamas-ruled enclave but also appeared to undercut Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
Abbas has been stepping up financial pressure on Gaza in hopes of forcing the militant group Hamas to cede ground in the territory. Hamas seized Gaza from Abbas’ forces in 2007, and Wednesday’s delivery was the result of a strange new alliance of old foes united against the Palestinian president.

The New York City Health Department says it had detected the first of the season’s mosquitoes with West Nile virus.
The agency says the infected mosquitoes were found in Staten Island. No human cases were reported in the agency’s announcement Monday.
The department says it will spray pesticides to target mosquito breeding grounds if persistent West Nile virus activity is reported. They will continue to apply larvicide to marshlands and other areas with standing water that can be breeding grounds for mosquitoes.
West Nile virus can cause serious complications if contracted, and is characterized by nausea and fever.
Mosquito season in New York typically spans from April to September.

A Jerusalem police spokesman reports 150kg of meat that was transported in contravention of sanitation regulations was seized by police, found inside the trunk of a private vehicle. It is suspected the meat was headed for distribution in the center of the city.
Police on Sunday, 24 Sivan, patrolling the center of the city noticed a man near the trunk of a vehicle, appearing suspicious.
Police instructed the man to open the trunk, and they saw the cartons of meat, which they believe did not meet sanitation code. The appropriate agencies were notified. The shipment was confiscated and destroyed

Chief Rabbi of Jerusalem Rabbi Aryeh Stern Shlita visited Sacher Park in the makeshift hospital established by the children’s parents from Hadassah.
The rabbi of Jerusalem told the parents, “You cannot pass by Sacher Park and remain indifferent. I am not familiar with the details, but there are sick children and parents in distress. We have a mutual guarantee in the Jewish people. It must not remain that way. We need a solution for the children”.

Delta Airlines says it is the first U.S. airline to use facial recognition technology to speed the process of checking baggage.
Delta on Monday debuted four self-serve kiosks for checking bags at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, including one that uses facial recognition technology to match travelers with their passport photos.
Airport spokesman Patrick Hogan says the new kiosks are only for checking bags and don’t replace security lines.
Travelers use their boarding pass to print check-in tags for their bags at the self-serve kiosks. Those with a passport can use the facial recognition feature. A Delta agent will check the IDs of those who don’t have a passport. The bags are then loaded onto a belt.
The airport is Delta’s second-largest hub.

The White House plans to introduce its tax overhaul during the first two weeks of September, says Gary Cohn, President Donald Trump’s top economic aide.
Cohn added that the administration wants to bring a finished tax bill to the House and Senate, rather than prolonging talks after its introduction.
The administration has only released a one-page outline of its principles to lower tax rates and simplify the tax code. But Cohn said Tuesday at a meeting of technology executives that he or Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin get a phone call each day from President Donald Trump about the overhaul’s status.
He said the president “could not be more excited about what we’re doing.”

Drastic reductions to the U.S. foreign aid budget would be “a bad thing” because the relatively small amount of money is well-spent, former President Bill Clinton told a coalition of U.S. humanitarian and development groups on Tuesday.
“It’s a bad thing if the government cuts US AID, because it’s a little bit of money doing an outsize amount of good,” Clinton said.
The Trump administration wants to cut funding to the U.S. Agency for International Development by nearly one third in the fiscal year starting in October. Attorney Sabrina Shroff asked a judge Tuesday to block the planned testimony of a government terrorism expert from the upcoming trial of Ahmad Khan Rahimi.
The Afghanistan-born U.S. citizen has pleaded not guilty to detonating a pipe bomb near a charity run in Seaside Park, New Jersey, and planting two pressure cooker bombs in Manhattan on Sept. 17.
One bomb didn’t explode. The other detonated in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood.
His trial is scheduled to start days after the anniversary of his arrest.
Manhattan federal Judge Richard Berman says he’ll rule Thursday.
