A ROLLERCOASTER has derailed at a popular theme park landing upside down on a children's ride, injuring at least seven people feared to be teenagers and children.
Eyewitnesses reported seeing the Tsunami ride at M&D's theme park in Motherwell, Scotland come off the tracks and crash onto the concrete leaving casualties trapped in the wreckage.
A group of dads struggled to lift the derailed carriage which crashed upside down leaving riders as young as ten-years-old trapped in the wreckage. .
Eyewitnesses have described the scene at M&D's theme park in Motherwell, Scotland as "carnage".
It's believed eight to ten people were on board the ride as it flew off the rails on a corner and plummeted to the ground onto a child's ride at around 3.40pm.

San Diego, CA - A US couple of Holocaust survivors gifted $400 million to the Ben Gurion University of the Negev.
The American Associates of the university announced the gift by the estate of Dr. Howard and Lottie Marcus of San Diego, California on Friday. Lottie Marcus died this past December at age 99, just two months short of her 100th birthday, while Howard died in 2014 at age 104.
The legacy gift is believed to the largest donation to an Israeli institution in the history of the state, the university said.
The funds will be used to establish a permanent endowment in support of BGU, which will yield endowment assets that more than double the size of the current University endowment.

Washington - Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says Donald Trump needs to raise much more money, quickly, if he expects to win the presidential campaign against Democrat Hillary Clinton.
Asked on ABC’s “This Week” whether the presumptive GOP nominee can win with the paltry fundraising he reported last month, McConnell says, “No…he needs to catch up and catch up fast.”
Campaign finance reports show Trump entered June with just $1.3 million in the bank. Clinton’s war chest at the same time was $42 million.
Trump has said his fund-raising will show improvement for the next reporting period.

Jerusalem - Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon on Sunday said that the Finance Ministry had set up a 24-hour “situation room” to keep tabs on economic repercussions from the United Kingdom’s Thursday vote to break from the European Union.

Jerusalem - The Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) announced Sunday that five Palestinians – including three dentists – were arrested in the alleged involvement of the May 10 terrorist-related pipe bomb explosions at the entrance of the Palestinian village of Hizma, north of Jerusalem.
The explosion of four pipe bombs on site left one officer, Shahar Roditi, severely wounded.

Jerusalem - Israeli Prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu Sunday spoke of recent developments regarding Israel’s diplomatic processes with Turkey and the Palestinians.

Washington - Conservative columnist George Will has parted ways with the Republican Party, changing his voter registration to “unaffiliated” because of the GOP’s support of Donald Trump.
Will tells The Washington Post that he made the change several weeks ago. The news site PJ Media reports that Will discussed his decision during an event Friday for the conservative group the Federalist Society.
Will isn’t saying whom he will support for president. He has been criticizing the billionaire businessman for months in his column for the Post and, in doing so, has drawn Trump’s scorn.
Recently, Will wrote a column in which he urged Republican donors to “save their party by not aiding its nominee.”

Sanford, FL - Police say a central Florida mayor was carjacked early Saturday while standing outside his home.
MESH (http://bit.ly/28Z1QPh ) reports Sanford Mayor Jeff Triplett was outside about 2:15 a.m. when three men approached, pointed a gun at him and stole his car keys.
Police say the suspects also stole Triplett’s wallet before driving off in his Mercedes.
Triplett gave a detailed description of the suspects to police and 18-year-old Jermine Jacques Horne and a 17-year-old were arrested a short time later. The third suspect has not been caught. It was not immediately known if either suspect had a lawyer.
Triplett said, “Being a victim of a crime is unnerving, yet it was reassuring to witness both speed and diligence from the Sanford Police Department.”

Thousands of shekels worth of equipment stolen from holy site's maintenance staff.
Arab vandals removed a mezuzah from the Tomb of the Patriarchs in Hevron on Friday, while the holy site was used by local Muslims for Ramadan prayers.
The mezuzah, which adorned the main door of the Tomb, is believed to have been desecrated by the vandals.
A storage shed used by the Tomb’s maintenance staff was also broken into, with thousands of shekels worth of equipment stolen.
A spokesman for the Hevron Jewish community, Noam Arnon, responded to the theft and likely desecration of the mezuzah, calling on police to offer a substantive response to the incident.

Yishai Schlissel, convicted of murder of Shira Banki, 16, at Pride Parade last year, handed heavy sentence by District Court
Yishai Schlissel, the man recently convicted of the murder of 16-year-old Shira Banki and six more counts of attempted murder, all perpetrated at the Pride Parade in Jerusalem on August 2015, has been sentenced to life in prison and 31 more years.
In addition to the prison sentence, he has been ordered to pay monetary compensation to the tune of NIS 258,000, the maximum amount, to the Banki family and each of the other victims, for a total of NIS 2,064,000.

The Jerusalem Police arrested four Muslim youths Sunday morning inside the Temple Mount Compound, on suspicion of disturbing the public peace and interfering with police.
The arrests were carried out after a group of Muslim youths, some of them with their faces covered, began shouting at Jews who ascended the Mount. The incident took place during the hours in which the Mount is open to Jews and tourists.
Police noted that the visits to the Mount are continuing as usual.

As Israeli and Turkish negotiators were set to meet Sunday in Rome to reach an agreement on normalizing ties, the families of two soldiers killed in the 2014 war in the Gaza Strip on Saturday demanded that their sons be returned as part of any deal with Ankara.
The families of Lt. Hadar Goldin and Sgt. Oron Shaul planned a protest tent outside Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s official residence in Jerusalem should a deal not involve the return of their sons.
