The Israel Air Force on Monday struck the Yemen-based Iran-backed Houthi terrorists at the central port of Hodeidah in retaliation for recent ballistic missile attacks against Israel.
The last time the IDF responded to almost regular Houthi missile attacks on Israel was July 7, with that attack having little impact on ending attacks from Yemen.
Defense Minister Israel Katz said that "the rule for Yemen is the same as the rule for Tehran," in reference to Israel's pulverizing 12 days of bombing of Iran on June 13-24.
Katz implied that the attacks were against parts of the Hodeidah port, which Israel had struck before and which the Houthis have started to try to rebuild.
Yet, despite Katz's attempted analogy between Iran and Yemen, Israel has been more successful in its at...
Israeli officials estimate that Hamas will return a positive answer to the new proposed IDF troop deployment in the Gaza Strip in return for a hostage deal.
A source involved in the talks told Kan News on Sunday that "we can reach the long-awaited breakthrough for a deal within a few days."
The new deployment maps that Israel presented to Hamas include significant flexibility for Israel. Among the issues that Israel agreed to concede on are the redrawing of the Morag Corridor and a change to the troop deployment in Gaza.
A senior military official stated: "I hope that this week we'll have a deal. The IDF recommends to the political echelon to reach a deal, there is a great desire on both sides."
According to the official, the military recommends retaining forces in the p...

Another US official said there's "growing skepticism inside the Trump administration" regarding Netanyahu, noting that his policies in the Middle East are too disruptive.
"Netanyahu is sometimes like a child who just won't behave," the official told Axios.

New details are emerging about Israel's intelligence and operational preparations that led to the attack on Iran, following serious warnings regarding advancements in Tehran's military nuclear program.
According to a report by Channel 12's Omri Maniv, in November, the political leadership instructed the IDF to prepare for an attack on Iran. Immediately afterward, a special team from the Intelligence Directorate was formed, called "Hipcha Mistabra" — a covert team that included technological experts focusing on analyzing progress in the nuclear field.
As early as January, the team warned about "initiating a systematic project for the production of the final stage required for launching a nuclear missile." At the same time, the Intelligence Directorate's rese...

Annapolis, MD - July 19, 2025 - So far this month, Maryland Gov. Wes Moore has announced nearly $58 million in grants across the state, most of which comes from a renewed push to clean up vacant properties in Baltimore City.
The announcements come as the state implements a hiring freeze and buyout offers for state employees, measures Moore said could save on personnel costs without forgoing scheduled pay raises. They also come just after the state’s fiscal 2026 budget took effect July 1 — a plan that closed a more-than $3 billion deficit with over $2 billion in cuts and $1 billion in new taxes and fees.
Baltimore vacants
On July 7, Moore declared $50 million in grant funds through the Baltimore Vacants Reinvestment Initiative, a program run by the state’s Department of...

Baltimore, MD – July 18, 2025 – 4:55PM - An accident at the intersection of Greenspring and Chippewa is causing traffic to slow in the area.
Baltimore, MD - July 18, 2025 - Traffic should soon move more smoothly in Baltimore. That’s because the city is working to re-time each light in every neighborhood.
“You may get through certain stretches where you have it synced up and it makes sense, and then you get to spots where you can tell you’re stopping at every single red light along the way,” a Baltimore driver said.
That’s why an effort is underway to help alleviate Baltimore’s stop-and-go traffic.
“Log jam. Stop at a red light to get through to the next red light, over and over again,” a Baltimore driver said.
The city is re-timing each light in order to synchronize them. City DOT says the project is needed due to growth and changing traffic patterns. It covers more than 1,100...
