Baltimore, MD - Feb. 23, 2025 - The Baltimore Chesed League kicked off its 2025 season in an exciting fashion today at Suburban Orthodox Toras Chaim. The young men were given their league sweatshirts, expertly designed by Fired Up Promotions, and then enjoyed a delicious lunch of poppers, and hot dogs, generously contributed by the Knish Shop. The official program began with a beautiful message from Rabbi Shmuel Kimche, assistant Rav of Ohel Moshe, who gave the boys some meaningful words of chizuk and motivation, followed by the BCL Committee, headed by founder Dovi Ziffer, who discussed the logistics of how the season will run. Tel Aviv, Israel - Feb. 23, 2025 - The IDF Spokesperson Unit published footage on Sunday from the elimination of Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah during Operation New Order. Last September, the IDF eliminated Nasrallah together with Southern Front Commander Ali Karaki and other senior commanders in a series of airstrikes on the organization's underground headquarters in Beirut and other military infrastructure. The IDF also published photos of IAF jets flying over Beirut during the funeral service that was held on Sunday in the city for Nasrallah.

Baltimore, MD - Feb. 22, 2025 - Precautionary testing found elevated levels of legionella in three Baltimore City courthouses, according to a news release. It’s the second time in around two months that the city has found elevated levels of legionella in its courthouses. The courthouses reopened around a week later. In a news release, officials said Baltimore will be conducting mitigation efforts such as flushing and chlorination treatments over the weekend. Officials said in the release that the age of buildings and the design of plumbing systems likely contributed to the elevated levels. The city will continue to monitor the levels in the coming months and determine if more efforts to mitigate the levels are needed.
