Mexican drug cartels are ordering their members to attack US Border Patrol agents with kamikaze drones and other explosives in a desperate bid to thwart the crackdown at the border, according to an internal memo obtained by The Post.
The alert, which cites social media posts and other sources, cautions federal agents “to remain cognizant of their surroundings at all times” in the face of the new threat.

US President Donald Trump on Monday afternoon will issue an executive order to withdraw the US from the United Nations Human Rights Council, and end funding for UNRWA, Politico reported.
According to a fact sheet obtained by Politico, the Human Rights Council "has not fulfilled its purpose and continues to be used as a protective body for countries committing horrific human rights violations." The sheet also condemned the Council's position on Israel.

Arlington, VA - Feb. 3, 2025 - A crane in the Potomac River has removed a large portion of the American Airline Flight 5342 wreckage, which allowed searchers to recover the bodies of more passengers killed in Wednesday's crash between the passenger flight an an Army Black Hawk helicopter.
And an early look at data from the plane's the plane’s flight data recorder and cockpit voice recorder, along with the helicopter’s black box, showed a shift in its position a second before the crash, officials said.

Annapolis, MD - Feb. 3, 2025 - Maryland was dubbed “most improved” in a new report grading state policies to combat tobacco use among residents, due in part to new laws that raised the state tax on cigarettes and included e-cigarettes in the state’s Clean Indoor Air Act last year.
But there is still room to improve, according to the American Lung Association.

Mexico will send 10,000 National Guard troops to its northern border to help reduce the flow of fentanyl into the US, reinforce the border, and help improve security in its own territory, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said.
“For humanitarian reasons, we must help the United States address its fentanyl consumption crisis, which is leading to overdose deaths,” she said at her morning news conference Monday.
This comes as President Donald Trump and Sheinbaum earlier on Monday announced a deal to delay tariffs by a month after Mexico agreed to place the soldiers at the border.

The delegates, both Democrats, wrote a letter to the chairman of the commission, Frederick H. Hoover, saying the cost of utilities was untenable for Maryland families.
