Automaker Kia America is recalling more than 80,000 vehicles due to floor wiring beneath the front passenger seat that can become damaged and prevent airbags and seat belts from deploying properly. The recall covers 80,255 2023-2025 Niro EV, Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV), and Hybrid vehicles. To remedy the situation, dealers will inspect, replace and reroute the floor wiring assembly, as necessary, for free. In addition, dealers will install wiring covers. The Hamas terrorist organization rejected US President Donald Trump’s proposal to temporarily relocate residents from the Gaza Strip to Jordan and Egypt in order to accelerate the reconstruction of the enclave. In response to these remarks, Sami Abu Zuhri, a senior Hamas official, said that Gaza residents faced the risk of death as long as they do not leave their homeland, which they would never abandon for any reason. According to him, there is no point in wasting time on plans tried by former President Joe Biden, which were the reason for the continuation of the fighting. Abu Zuhri also said that implementing the current agreement is the sole method for solving the problems of the Gaza Strip, and that attempts to circumvent the agreement have no value whatsoever. The future of the Red Line remains in question, especially with the new Trump Administration in place in Washington, and some leaders are starting to call for a pivot in plans. Baltimore’s east to west public transit plan was canceled under former Gov. Larry Hogan, who called the light rail plan a “boondoggle” and sent federal funding back to Washington. In June 2024, Gov. Wes Moore revived the plan, and said federal funding would be more likely if then-President Joe Biden was re-elected. Fast forward a few months, and candidates, and Donald Trump is sitting in the Oval Office and funding for the public transit plan is back in question. Congressman Kweisi Mfume, a Democrat from Baltimore City, cautioned that the funding wasn’t likely, at least ...
In our last piece, we saw that Torah study helps strengthen our faith in and feelings for Hashem. We can also accomplish these goals by studying and appreciating the other way Hashem reveals Himself to us — His world and His interaction with it. Nature Yeshayahu HaNavi[1] encouraged us to “raise our eyes to the heavens and consider who created them.” Though some suggest that matter came into existence without heavenly intervention, it is hard to imagine the full complexity and diversity of the universe developing on its own. Rebbe Akiva[2] made this point to a heretic who asked for definitive proof of Hashem’s creation. Rebbe Akiva responded by asking the questioner to prove that a weaver had knitted his shirt. Rebbe Akiva explained that just as a shirt proves th...

A Palestinian prisoner set to be released on Saturday's hostage-prisoner exchange refused to board the bus to Gaza, KAN News reported. Originally, two prisoners - who were being held at Israel's Ktzi'ot Prison - refused to be released as part of the deal with Hamas. However, one was ultimately persuaded and returned to Gaza, KAN added. The other, however, remained and was replaced with another prisoner.  The prisoner was a senior Fatah official and preferred to stay in prison than return to Gaza, Ynet reported.  Israel released 200 terrorist prisoners on Saturday in exchange for four female soldiers. Naama Levy, Liri Elbag, Daniella Gilboa, and Karina Ariev had been held in Hamas captivity for 477 days before returning to Israel as...
