Baltimore, MD - Dec. 16, 2024 - Average gas prices in Baltimore have dropped 5.5 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $2.84/g, according to GasBuddy's survey of 663 stations in Baltimore.
GasBuddy reports prices in Baltimore are 35.2 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 23.7 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has declined 1.8 cents in the last week and stands at $3.472 per gallon.
"As we edge closer to the end of the year, we're seeing momentum for falling gas prices weaken, which is typical as the national average generally bottoms out between Thanksgiving and [the end of the year]," said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy. United States President-elect Donald Trump said on Monday that he had a "very good talk" with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, about the status of the war in Gaza.
Trump described it as a "recap call" ahead of his taking office on Jan. 20.

The IAF's 'Arrow' air defense system intercepted a missile that was launched from the Houthis in Yemen on Monday, which activated sirens in Tel Aviv, and surrounding areas, the military announced.
Shrapnel from the interception is reported to have fallen in the West Bank, according to Israeli media.
The IDF added that the missile did not cross into Israeli territory, however, alerts sounded due to concerns over falling debris from the interception.
