“Help my daughter live”  I am Esti, Lali’s mother. Our Lali is a child we longed for and waited for five years. She is all the light and joy of our home, and all I want is for her to stay here with us. Not long ago, she started feeling unwell. We took her to doctors, and what they discovered simply broke our hearts—she has cancer. Since then, nothing has been the same. We are trying to stay strong for her, but inside, we are falling apart. Her treatments cost a lot, far beyond what we can manage alone. I am asking you, anyone who can contribute, to help us save Lali. Every donation, every bit of support—it’s for her and for us. Please daven for Leah bas Esther for a full recovery. May you never know such pain, Esti  Donate now https://...

After the dramatic encounter with Esav, Yaakov continued his journey back home. The journey took longer than expected due to the large family and flock and Yaakov made camp in a few different locations.  And Jacob traveled to Succoth and built himself a house, and for his cattle he made booths; therefore, he named the place Succoth.  And Jacob came “shalem” (safely) to the city of Shechem, which is in the land of Canaan, when he came from Padan Aram, and he encamped before the city (Genesis 33:17-18)  The Torah relates that Yaakov arrived “shalem” to the city of Shechem. The Hebrew word “shalem” is translated by many of the commentaries as “safely” but the basic definition of this word is “complete” or &...

The long awaited showdown between Esav and Yaakov has finally come to fruition. Thirty-four years have transpired from the moment Rivkah — after fearing Esav would take revenge against Yaakov for stealing the blessings — advises Yaakov to "flee to my brother Lavan, to Charan. And remain with him a 'short while' until your brother's wrath subsides." Clearly, Rivkah, who we are taught possessed Ruach Hakodesh, was way off in her estimation of how long it would take for Esav to calm down. How do we reconcile this most insightful woman's gross error in judgment? A dear, and old childhood friend of mine, Reb Labe Twersky, recently shared with me his novel answer to this question. Rivkah correctly suspected that Esav was 'angry'. But she also realiz...

White House National Security Communications Adviser John Kirby claimed Thursday that many of the purported drone sightings spotted over New Jersey for the past several weeks are actually lawfully operated manned aircraft.  "We have no evidence at this time that the reported drone sightings pose a national security or a public safety threat, or have a foreign nexus," Kirby told reporters at the daily White House press briefing. "The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the FBI are investigating these sightings, and they're working closely with state and local law enforcement to provide resources using numerous detection methods to better understand their origin."  "Using very sophisticated electronic detection technologies provided by fed...
An “enormous” projected budget deficit over the next five years will not slow down efforts to fill vacant state jobs, the state budget secretary said Wednesday. Budget Secretary Helene Grady, speaking to the Joint Committee on Fair Practices and State Personnel, acknowledged the looming fiscal challenge but said, when questioned by comittee members, that those challenges will not sidetrack efforts to “rebuild state government.” Grady said managing the need for new staff and a projected $2.7 billion deficit for fiscal 2026 “is a balancing act.” “What I can say at this point is, agencies continue to be authorized to recruit and fill roles,” she said. “We do not have an across-the-board hiring freeze in place. We encourage age...
Baltimore, MD - Dec. 12, 2024  - On The C4 and Bryan Nehman Show, Worley says the city’s position hasn’t changed and that the mayor has made it pretty clear that they will not work with ICE, however, “We are going to continue to investigate crime.” In October, the ICE Baltimore field director told WBAL that they have an “estranged relationship” with the Baltimore City Police Department. He said as a result of the federal consent decree, the DOJ’s Office of Civil Rights and Civil Liberties told them they should be “apprehensive about working with us.” Worley said that there has been “a spike within the Hispanic communities.”
