Jerusalem, Israel - Oct. 30, 2024  - President Isaac Herzog opened the gates to Beit Hanasi in Jerusalem, Israel, on Wednesday evening to welcome families of heroes of October 7, 2023. He and his wife Michal walked around the ground to greet the living heroes and the invited families, individuals, Jewish, Druze, and Bedouin, who rose and went to save lives on that Simchat Torah morning a year ago.  The official program was set in the back garden, as the sun set, and the evening weather turned cold. Blankets were available for families of those honored. Towson, MD -Oct. 30, 2024 - Homicide detectives with the Baltimore County Police Department have obtained an arrest warrant for 16-year-old Brayan Rodriguez in connection with the murder of a 16-year-old. On Sunday, October 27, officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 1700 block of Reisterstown Road. Upon arrival, they found the injured victim at the scene. The 16-year-old was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. Detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating Rodriguez. If located, please call 911 and do not approach him. Hezbollah's new secretary-general, Naim Qassem, said that he intended to follow in the footsteps of the terror organization's previous leader, Hassan Nasrallah, during his first televised speech as leader of the terror organization on Wednesday.  During his speech, he referred to the drone attack on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Caesarea home, saying, "Netanyahu survived this time, perhaps his time hasn't yet come." Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is looking to postpone the wedding of his son, Avner, due to security considerations, KAN News reported on Wednesday.   KAN claimed that Netanyahu has stated behind closed doors that the wedding should be postponed as it may risk the safety of those in attendance. According to the report, the wedding is planned for November 26 at the Ronit Farm near Tel Aviv.  Kan also reported on Monday that Netanyahu has expressed concerns regarding the drone threat, reportedly saying, "For missiles, we have good detection and interception systems." Israel Air Force jets eliminated Mustafa Ahmad Shahadi, Hezbollah's Radwan force deputy commander, in a strike in Nabatieh in Lebanon, the military said on Wednesday.  The strike was carried out based on precise intelligence information, the IDF added.  Shahadi was responsible for conducting terror activities against Israel, the military said. There are a series of ballot questions in several counties and Baltimore City. Maryland Ballot Question 1: Statewide, all Maryland voters will decide Question 1, an amendment that asks whether reproductive rights should be enshrined in the state constitution — including abortion access.
