A woman in her 60s and a man in his 20s were killed wounded on Thursday by a rocket strike during a barrage in the Haifa Bay Area. MDA is reporting that another man in his 70s was lightly wounded and updated that the three are suffering from shrapnel wounds. The IDF that approximately 25 projectiles were identified crossing from Lebanon during the barrage. Some of the projectiles were intercepted and fallen projectiles were identified in the area.
Baltimore, MD - Oct. 31, 2024  - With the general election less than one week away, Baltimore City officials are reassuring residents their votes are secure. “Well, in Baltimore City, we have not had those issues of tampering with ballot boxes. We feel pretty secure,” said Armstead Jones, director of the Baltimore City Board of Elections. “We have safety measures in place. Five people were killed in an agricultural area in Metulla, in northern Israel, following Hezbollah rocket fire from Lebanon, Israeli media reported on Thursday afternoon. The IDF confirmed earlier on Thursday two rockets were launched from Lebanon and fell in "open areas," which, according to early indications, were agricultural sites near the town. Israeli media reported that one citizen, a farmer, was killed in the attack, along with four foreign workers. A sixth person was seriously wounded in the incident, with severe injuries sustained via shrapnel. They were transferred for emergency medical assistance at Rambam Health Care Campus in Haifa.
Iran will deliver a “definitive and painful” response to Israel’s recent attack on its territory, likely before the US presidential election on November 5, CNN reported Wednesday, citing an anonymous senior source. Baltimore, MD - Oct. 31, 2024  - Today marks the final opportunity for in-person early voting in Maryland. Polling places will open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. However, election officials have stated that anyone in line by 8 p.m. will still be allowed to vote. The York County, Pennsylvania Board of Elections is updating the public on its investigation into thousands of voter registration applications that raised concerns after they were recently delivered to the county's election office. Last week, the York County Office of Elections and Voter Registration received a bulk drop-off of 3,087 voter registration applications, the board of elections said Wednesday in a news release. Since then, the elections board has been working with the Pennsylvania Department of State and the York County Office of District Attorney to review the applications. Baltimore, MD - Oct. 31, 2024  - Marilyn Mosby's defense is again asking Judge Lydia Kay Griggsby to replace her home detention with a curfew, outlining why they believe her job security requires more flexibility. The former Baltimore City's State Attorney latest plea with the court came in light of her new job offer to serve as Director of Global Strategic Planning at an undisclosed California-based company. While the enterprise is headquartered in California, Mosby will be stationed in Maryland. According to her defense, this new position "will require routine travel to varying locations throughout Maryland." ISA and Israel Police on Thursday morning announced the arrest of Refael and Lala Goliev, a 32-year-old couple from Lod, after the couple carried out acts of espionage on behalf of Iran. During their interrogation, it became clear that Refael was enlisted by Alshaan Agayev, a 56-year-old Azeri, who is operating on behalf of Iranian parties. As part of his activities, Refael tracked security sites in Israel, including the Mossad, and also followed an academic employed by the INSS, who Iran had marked for a physical attack. Jerusalem, Israel - Oct. 30, 2024  - President Isaac Herzog opened the gates to Beit Hanasi in Jerusalem, Israel, on Wednesday evening to welcome families of heroes of October 7, 2023. He and his wife Michal walked around the ground to greet the living heroes and the invited families, individuals, Jewish, Druze, and Bedouin, who rose and went to save lives on that Simchat Torah morning a year ago.  The official program was set in the back garden, as the sun set, and the evening weather turned cold. Towson, MD -Oct. 30, 2024 - Homicide detectives with the Baltimore County Police Department have obtained an arrest warrant for 16-year-old Brayan Rodriguez in connection with the murder of a 16-year-old. On Sunday, October 27, officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 1700 block of Reisterstown Road. Upon arrival, they found the injured victim at the scene. The 16-year-old was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. Detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating Rodriguez. If located, please call 911 and do not approach him.
