Jerusalem, Israel - Oct. 5, 2024 - An Israeli security source on Saturday confirmed to Sky News Arabic that Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah's successor, Hashem Safieddine, was eliminated in a Friday night strike.
According to Al Hadath, commanders from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard were eliminated together with Safieddine.
On Friday, Israel estimated that Safieddine was injured in the strike, since those who were with him in the underground area which was struck could not have escaped the site alive. In addition, it is estimated that alongside Safieddine, senior Hezbollah intelligence officials were also present at the site and were also injured.

Baltimore, MD - Oct. 5, 2024 - Baltimore City has announced the terms of their $80 million lawsuit with Walgreens.
Walgreens will pay $45 million by the end of this calendar year and the remainder by December 31, 2025.
The city will be using the entirety of the settlement for opioid remediation.
The remainder of the money received by the city will be managed in accordance with Mayor Scott's August 2024 executive order.
This settlement with Walgreens is one of six the city has in its ongoing lawsuit against opioid distributors.
This includes settlements with Allergen and CVS for $45 million each, Teva for $80 million and Cardinal Health for $152.5 million.
Just last month, the city settled with Johnson & Johnson. The details of the settlement weren’t disclosed.

The Randallstown NAACP says they have reached an agreement with the owners of the Howard Johnson By Wyndham on Reisterstown Road to make the property safer.

Charlotte, N.C. - Oct. 2, 2024 - Reports about a problem at Bank of America spiked around 12:45 pm ET on Downdetector, which collects data on outages.
Many customers complained they could not see their account balances. Some who could access their accounts were startled to see zero balances.
Bank of America did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Multiple CNN employees with Bank of America accounts could not log into their accounts online. A message displayed for one Bank of America customer said the current balance amount for one or multiple accounts “may be temporarily unavailable.”

Israel's foreign minister declared UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres 'persona non grata' and was henceforth banning him from entering Israel, according to a post on X/Twitter on Wednesday.
The ban on entry, said FM Israel Katz, was due to Guterres's failure to "unequivocally condemn" Iran's massive missile attack on Israel.
"Anyone who cannot unequivocally condemn Iran's heinous attack on Israel, as almost every country in the world has done, does not deserve to step foot on Israeli soil," Katz wrote.

US President Joe Biden says he does not support a retaliatory strike by Israel on Iran’s nuclear program.
“The answer is no,” Biden tells reporters when asked whether he backs such a prospect.
Biden says Israel has a right to respond to yesterday’s Iranian missile attack but that it should do so proportionally.
“We’ll be discussing with the Israelis what they’re going to do,” he adds.
