US Senator John Fetterman (D-Pa) criticized the Iranian government's priorities amidst reports of a serious drought and water crisis in the country.
"Iran spent billions to build a nuclear bomb and the proxies to destroy Israel instead of a water infrastructure," Fetterman wrote on X yesterday in response to a Washington Post story highlighting the Iranian government's decades of water mismanagement.

Ali Larijani, the secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, called on Sunday for a direct conflict with Israel following the IDF airstrike that killed Hezbollah military chief Haytham Ali Tabatabai earlier that day.

The Department of War announced Monday that it has opened a formal review into allegations of misconduct against Democratic Sen. Mark Kelly of Arizona over a video calling on service members to "refuse illegal orders."
