The United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution on Wednesday proposed by the Palestinian Authority, calling for sanctions and an arms embargo against Israel.
The meeting was called to call for Israel to immediately end its "occupation" of the West Bank and Palestinian territory. The vote, which ended with 124 votes in favor, 14 against, and 43 abstentions, reflects persistent divisions within the international community on the Israeli-Palestinian issue.
While the resolution is non-binding, it may have repurcussions in international courts. Any such move in the Security Council, whose resolutions are binding, is expected to be vetoed by the US.

Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) spoke at the IAC submit in Washington DC to reaffirm his longstanding support for Israel.

The IDF conducted a targeted strike on Radwan Force commander and head of Hezbollah Operations, Ibrahim Aqil, in Beirut, Lebanon on Friday, the military reported. The IDF later confirmed the terrorist leader's elimination.
Earlier, AFP, citing a source close to Hezbollah, reported that Aqil perished in the strike. Reuters later reported the same, citing two security sources in Lebanon.
The security sources told Reuters that other members of Hezbollah's Radwan Force were killed when the Israeli strike hit a meeting they were attending.
The Lebanese Health Ministry claimed that eight had been killed in the strike and that another 59 were wounded.

Air Force planes targeted a building in Beirut, reportedly aimed at eliminating an extremely senior member of Hezbollah. Israeli media reports that the target was Ibrahim Aqil, head of the organization's special operations department and considered the second in command.
Aqil survived several assassination attempts, including in February 2000, when Apache helicopters fired missiles at his car.
