President Donald Trump sent a strong message to those accused of killing two U.S. Army soldiers and an American interpreter in Syria Saturday, noting the U.S. will retaliate against ISIS if forces are attacked again.
As Trump departed the White House for the Army-Navy football game Saturday afternoon, he said the country is mourning the loss of the soldiers and a civilian U.S. interpreter, who were ambushed by a lone ISIS gunman.
Three other soldiers were wounded but are "doing well," according to the president. They were taken by helicopters to the al-Tanf garrison, which is near the border with Iraq and Jordan, The Associated Press reported, citing Syrian state media.

A shooter killed two people and injured eight at Brown University’s Providence, R.I., campus Saturday and the suspect is still at large, the university said.
The injured were at the local hospital in critical but stable condition.
University and local police were on the scene near Barus & Holley, a building that houses the university’s engineering and physics departments, according to campuswide alerts late Saturday afternoon.
Local authorities said an eyewitness saw the suspect—a man dressed in black—exit the building and walk away on foot. The suspect hasn’t been apprehended.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz on Saturday night said they had ordered the assassination of number two Hamas official Ra'ad Sa'ad earlier in the day due to his leadership over the group's post-war rearmament activities.

Baltimore, MD - Dec. 13, 2025 - Snow will fall fast at times — up to an inch per hour — mainly overnight between midnight and 5:00 AM early Sunday.
Western Maryland and areas west of D.C. won’t see much; many of those spots may not even reach an inch.
For Baltimore and the central corridor, the heaviest snow is expected right along I-95, especially north of Laurel and into Baltimore County and Harford County. Most places in that zone should get 1–3 inches.
There may be a narrow strip where totals get close to 5 inches, but it’s hard to pinpoint because it depends on how the heavier snow bands set up. Right now, that “max zone” looks most likely somewhere along I-95, north of central Harford County.
