Our dear Avigayil, less than a year old now, was born with a small, heartwarming smile, but now she’s fighting a severe illness—cutaneous lymphoma. The word “cancer” is still too heavy for us to assimilate, and the fear is unrelenting. A few years ago, my wife Tehillah and I went through a terrible time when our eldest daughter was fighting for her life after a severe accident. Somehow, we managed to get through it, but now we’re facing another painful battle, and we lose entire nights to worry. For our baby Avigayil to overcome this illness, she urgently needs costly biological treatment. We need your help. I am reaching out from the ...

The 2024 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade may be an attractive target for both foreign and domestic terroristic violence, according to a joint threat assessment obtained by ABC News. Among the most significant threats facing the nation’s largest Thanksgiving celebration “stems from lone offenders and small groups of individuals seeking to commit acts of violence,” according to the report put out by multiple law enforcement agencies, including the FBI and New York Police Department. There is not a “specific, actionable threat,” but the document raises a particular concern about vehicle ramming, which “has become a recurring tactic employed by threat actors” looking to target crowded pedestrian areas. The NYPD will have sanitation trucks and ot...

Judge Juan Merchan on Friday granted President-elect Donald Trump's request to file a motion to dismiss the charges in New York v. Trump and removed the sentencing date for the president-elect from the schedule.  Merchan said Trump attorneys have until December 2 to file their motion for dismissal. Merchan said Bragg has until December 9 to respond.  Merchan also confirmed the stay in sentencing for Trump, which was requested by both Trump and Bragg attorneys. The sentencing was scheduled for Nov. 26, but on Friday, Merchan said that date "is adjourned."  In a letter to Merchan on Wednesday, Trump defense attorney and now-nominee for Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche demanded the case against President-elect Donald Trump be tossed.  "On November ...
Avraham purchased the lot and then buried his beloved life-partner, Sarah. But this was no ordinary field in the city of Hebron; this was the Me’aras HaMachpeyla, the cave in which our patriarchs and matriarchs would be laid to rest alongside Adam and Chava.  “And so, the field of Ephron, which was in Machpelah, facing Mamre, was established (as Abraham’s possession). [This included] the field and the cave that was in it, and all the trees that were in the field, which were within its entire border around (Bereishis 23:17).”  The phrase “was established” is the translation of the Hebrew word, va’yakam. This word can also be translated as “stood up” or “was elevated.” Rashi explains: the field of Ep...
After Yitzchak takes Rivka for a wife, we are informed that Avraham remarried.  (Chayei Sarah 25:1) The Pasuk states that his new wife’s name was “Ketura”.  Rashi tells us that Ketura was none other than Hagar, Sarah’s former maid servant and Avraham’s former wife/concubine who bore him Yishmael.  (Rashi 25:1)  This raises an interesting question.  Sarah had insisted that Avraham “drive away this maidservant”. (Vayeira 21:10) Indeed, as Avraham was reluctant to treat Hagar in such a manner, Hashem told him to “listen to Sarah your wife”. (21:12) If Sarah correctly instructed Avraham to drive Hagar away, (with Hashem’s approval) why after Sarah dies would Avraham remarry her? The q...
After Sarah deals harshly with Hagar she flees to the desert. An angel appears to her at a spring of water. Asking her where she came from, she responds she ran away from her mistress Sarah. He tells her to return and bear it, promising her she will give birth to a son who will develop into a powerful nation. He directs her to call him ישמעאל —Yishmael, to commemorate how ישמע א-ל — He [G-d] heard her prayers. Seeing G-d's providence where she least expected it, she exclaims, "You are the G-d of Vision," for she said, "Could I have seen even here after having seen [angels in the home of Avraham]?"  The well was subsequently called, "The באר — Well, לחי רואי — of the Living One Who Sees Me." When Yishmael is later sent away by Avrah...

US President Donald Trump's team is already planning punitive measures against the International Criminal Court in The Hague following the decision to issue arrest warrants against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, Kan Reshet Bet reported Friday morning. While Trump's inauguration is still two months away and will take place on January 20, 2025, the President-Elect is preparing his response to the ICC's move once he takes office. Sources in Washington told the outlet that "the possibility is of imposing personal sanctions not only on the prosecutor or the court - but also on the judges themselves who issued the order." In addition, there are those who argue that the sanctions should also be extended to the family members o...
President-elect Trump announced Thursday evening that he's nominating former attorney general of Florida Pam Bondi as the next attorney general of the United States. Trump's latest Cabinet pick replaces Matt Gaetz, the former Florida representative and nominee for attorney general, who on Thursday withdrew as Trump's pick for the top prosecutor after the "distraction" his nomination had caused. "Pam was a prosecutor for nearly 20 years, where she was very tough on Violent Criminals, and made the streets safe for Florida Families," Trump wrote in his announcement. "Then, as Florida’s first female Attorney General, she worked to stop the trafficking of deadly drugs, and reduce the tragedy of Fentanyl Overdose Deaths, which have destroyed many families across our ...

Three members of the progressive congressional "Squad" on Wednesday voted against a House resolution condemning a “global rise of antisemitism," making them the only Democrats to do so. Reps. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., and Cori Bush, D-Mo., said “nay” to House Resolution 1449, which calls on countries to counter antisemitism. Each of the congresswomen expressed opposition to the resolution’s reference to a “working definition” of antisemitism created by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA), which says that “antisemitism is a certain perception of Jews, which may be expressed as hatred toward Jews.” “Rhetorical and physical manifestations of antisemitism are directed toward Jewish or non-Jewi...
The Mayor of Dearborn, Michigan, Abdullah Hammoud, said his city would comply with the International Criminal Court's arrest warrants for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant if they were to enter the city. "Dearborn will arrest Netanyahu & Gallant if they step within Dearborn city limits. "Other cities should declare the same. Our president may not take action, but city leaders can ensure Netanyahu & other war criminals are not welcome to travel freely across these United States."
