IDF Col. (res.) Dr. Jacques Neriah, a former senior officer in Military Intelligence, warned on Sunday of an impending “second round” against Iran, saying Hezbollah operatives had been instructed to distance themselves from their phones in recent days.
“There is a sense that a war is coming, that Iranian revenge is in the works. The Iranians will not be able to live with this humiliation for long,” he told Udi Segal and Anat Davidov on 103FM.
“If the reports are true and there will be a meeting between the two leaders, this is huge news. We dreamed of this, we wanted this, and now it is coming true before our eyes.”

An investigation by the Israel Air Force on Sunday found that the ballistic missile launched by Yemen's Houthis on Friday night contained cluster munitions, the first time during the war that they used this category of weapon.
On one hand, such a weapon tends to have a less harmful impact if it achieves direct hits as opposed to a classic ballistic missile.
But on the other hand, this kind of missile can have a higher chance of causing at least some minor harm because it splits into many parts, which can have many impacts.
According to the IDF, the fact that it failed to shoot down the missile was due to some other still unidentified human or technical failure and not due to the missile including cluster munitions.
However, it is possible that given a ballistic miss...

FBI Los Angeles on July 15 posted a reminder on X about the Phantom Hacker Scam, which has cost Americans over $1 billion since at least 2024, according to the agency. The FBI said the scam targets senior citizens and warns that victims could lose their "life savings."
The scam operates in three phases: a "tech support impostor," "financial institution impostor" and a "US government impostor."In the first phase, a tech support impostor will contact victims through text, phone call or email, then direct them to download a program allowing the scammer remote access to their computer. Then, the scammer asks victim...
A security source confirmed the attack. According to reports, the Houthi targets included power stations, the presidential office, and a fuel warehouse.
Residents of Sana'a told Reuters that the attacks were conducted in the area near the Yemenite presidential campus in Sana'a, as well as the Houthis' missile bases. The attack is a response to the recent launches of missiles and UAVs towards Israeli territory.
The IDF confirmed: "A short while ago, the IDF struck military infrastructure of the Houthi terrorist regime in the Sanaa area, including a military site in which the presidency palace is located, the Asar and Hizaz power plants, and a site for storing fuel; all were used for the military activity of the Houthi terrorist regime."

Baltimore, MD - Aug. 24, 2025 - The Maryland Department of Health confirmed the state’s first human case of West Nile virus this year in an adult living in the central part of the state.
Officials said the patient is recovering. The case was detected in central Maryland, according to a state health department release that did not specify the exact location.
West Nile virus is primarily transmitted through the bite of an infected mosquito, which contracts the virus from feeding on infected birds. While most people who become infected show no symptoms, the disease can cause serious complications in those with underlying health conditions.
“We are in the season when the West Nile virus and other mosquito-borne viruses can spread in Maryland,” Dr. Meg Sullivan, deputy secr...
Washington, D.C. - Aug. 24, 2025 - D.C. was ranked the ninth safest city for pedestrians this week, according to KURU Footwear’s new report.
The "Safest & Most Dangerous Cities for Pedestrians in 2025" report revealed the District had 2.95 pedestrian deaths per 100,000 people. D.C. also had a "Walk Score" of 98. The report noted that the dense urban planning and extensive transit systems enhanced pedestrian safety.
The Northeast region of the U.S. leads in pedestrian safety, with cities like Boston, New York, and Philadelphia combining low pedestrian death rates with strong walkability. Milwaukee stands out with the lowest pedestrian fatality rate overall, at just 0.93 deaths per 100,000 people.
Nashville, Louisville and D.C. achieved the highest Walk Scores among the top...
Baltimore, MD – Aug. 23, 2025 – Repair work to damaged concrete has closed two lanes of Interstate 795 this weekend.
Two northbound lanes of I-795 are closed between the Beltway and the Owings Mills Boulevard exit. The closures began Friday at 8 p.m. and will remain in place through 5 a.m. Monday, according to the Maryland State Highway Administration.
SHA officials noted there will be times when drivers may not see crews actively working, but the lanes must stay closed to allow the concrete to cure properly to highway strength.
Drivers are advised to use Reisterstown or Liberty roads as alternate routes.
The project is part of SHA’s $8.5 million contract aimed at improving safety and operations on interstate highways in Baltimore and Harford counties.
Postal services in Europe and around the world plan to halt shipping merchandise to the U.S. as the Trump administration’s end of the de minimus tariff exemption goes into effect.
The "de minimus" exemption allowed internation carriers to ship goods valued under $800 to the U.S. without paying any duties.
The White House announced the end of the exemption weeks ago, linking it to fentanyl and other illicit drugs coming into the U.S.
DHL, Europe’s largest shipping provider, said in a statement on its website Friday that "Deutsche Post and DHL Parcel Germany will no longer be able to accept and transport parcels and postal items containing goods from business customers destined for the U.S." effective immediately.
The end of the exemption goes into effec...
The White House says National Guard activations in 19 states are unrelated to President Donald Trump’s push to expand Washington, D.C.’s federal crime crackdown to other cities.
Up to 1,700 National Guardsmen are set to mobilize in 19 states in the coming weeks to assist the Department of Homeland Security with the administration’s nationwide crackdown on illegal immigration.
That operation was initially announced last month and is not linked to potential federal intervention in crime-plagued cities, a White House official told Fox News.
"This isn’t new nor is it tied to the President’s efforts to address violent crime in DC," the official said late Friday.
"DoD announced last month that National Guard troops would assist DHS with clerical suppor...
US President Donald Trump spoke to reporters on Friday, suggesting that there are fewer than 20 living hostages still being held by the Hamas terrorist organization in Gaza.
“I'm the one that got all of the hostages out. If it wasn't for me, they wouldn't be out. I worked with Bibi and I worked with Steve Witkoff. But if it wasn't for me, all these hostages would most likely be dead right now, every one of them,” said Trump.
“So now they have 20, but the 20 is actually probably not 20, because a couple maybe aren't around any longer. It's a terrible thing,” he added.
“Now there are 20 live hostages, and it's probably not 20 anymore because some of them are probably no longer with us,” he stated.
“I said, you k...
Canada said it would remove its 25% tariff on about half of the U.S. goods it has targeted since March as the country attempts to reset its trading relationship with the U.S.
However, Prime Minister Mark Carney said 25% duties on U.S. steel, aluminum and automobiles would remain in place. Overall, the decision affects about $21 billion of U.S. exports to Canada, on goods such as orange juice, peanut butter, wine, spirits, beer, appliances and motorcycles. Tariffs on those goods come off as of Sept. 1.
The move comes the day after Carney and President Trump spoke for the first time since the two countries failed to reach a trade deal before an Aug. 1 deadline. At a press conference Friday, Carney said that by dropping the tariffs, the U.S. and Canada will now tr...
The Trump administration said Friday that it had taken a 10% stake in Intel, President Donald Trump’s latest extraordinary move to exert federal government control over private business.
The United States will not seek direct representation on Intel's board and pledged to vote with the current Board of Directors on matters requiring shareholder approval, "with limited exceptions," according to a joint release from the Trump administration and Intel. The move also comes as the United States vies with China in the race to dominate the artificial intelligence industry.
Trump also announced the deal on his Truth Social platform Friday, praising the company's CEO just two weeks after he called on the executive to resign over alleged China ties.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has fired a US general whose agency’s initial intelligence assessment of damage to Iranian nuclear sites from US strikes angered President Donald Trump, The Associated Press reported on Friday, citing two sources and a White House official.
Lt. Gen. Jeffrey Kruse will no longer serve as the head of the US Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). The firing is the latest upheaval in US military and intelligence leadership, coming just months after the preliminary assessment was leaked to the media.
The leaked report, which was carried by several media outlets including CNN and the New York Times, claimed that Iran’s nuclear program had been set back only a few months by the US strikes, directly contradicting assertions from Pre...
The U.S. economy grew at a faster pace than expected at the beginning of 2024 as consumers continued to open their wallets despite ongoing inflation and high interest rates.
Gross domestic product, the broadest measure of goods and services produced across the economy, grew by 2.8% on an annualized basis in the three-month period from April through June, the Commerce Department said in its first reading of the data on Thursday.
That is much higher than the 2% increase forecast by LSEG economists and the 1.4% pace seen during the first quarter.
"The U.S. economy is much stronger than people realize and to the extent that markets were worried about a growth slowdown, they should breathe a sigh of relief after this morning’s GDP number," said Chris Zaccare...
