Israeli air defenses on Saturday intercepted two rockets fired from Gaza’s Beit Hanoun toward the Jerusalem area, an increasingly rare occurrence after nearly 15 months of war. The Israel Defense Forces said both rockets were successfully intercepted, with no injuries or damage reported. Amid the attack, sirens sounded in Beit Shemesh and numerous surrounding towns, as well as in several communities near Gaza. Long-range rocket fire from Gaza has become increasingly rare as the war has progressed, with Hamas’s launching capabilities severely hindered by the IDF’s ground offensive. Hamas last carried out a long-range rocket attack on Tel Aviv in August. The terror group has not fired at the Jerusalem area in over a year. After the rockets were fired, the IDF issued evac...
A plane with 181 people aboard crashed at Muan International Airport in South Korea on Sunday (local time), South Korea's Yonhap news agency reported. The Jeju Air flight, which was carrying 175 passengers and six flight attendants, had been returning from Thailand when the accident occurred during its landing, the report said. The official death toll is currently at 85, but it is estimated that only two people survived the crash and the rest were killed. The crash is believed to have been caused by "contact with birds, resulting in malfunctioning landing gear" as the plane attempted to land at the airport in the country's southwest, Yonhap reported. Videos from the crash showed that after the plane landed on the runway, it was unable to slow down, hit the...
New details about the elimination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh have come out just days after Israel officially took responsibility for the elimination in the heart of Tehran. Institute for National Security Studies (INSS) Iran expert Beni Sabti told Channel 12 that Haniyeh's elimination was "on a higher level than even the pager operation (in Lebanon). We penetrated the depths and the belly of Iran's most secure facility." When Israel wanted to take out Haniyeh, who served as the head of Hamas's diplomatic bureau, it decided to rule out the option of eliminating him on Qatari soil so as not to harm the efforts to reach a hostage deal. In addition, the Israelis learned that Haniyeh would regularly stay in a specific room in the Neshat compound in Tehran. The c...

Israeli airline El Al announced on Thursday evening that it is suspending operations on the Tel Aviv-Moscow route for one week due to what has been described as "developments in the Russian airspace." The airline made this decision following the crash of an Azerbaijan Airlines plane that was en route from Baku to Grozny in Russia. Another reason for the suspension of flights is the UAV attacks by the Ukrainian military on various airports across Russia, including in the capital Moscow. The Azerbaijan Airlines plane crashed on Wednesday morning near Aktau, Kazakhstan. According to reports, 67 passengers and five crew members were aboard the plane at the time of the crash. Approximately 30 of them survived the crash and were hospitalized in Kazakhstan. According to Western est...
This weeks Parsha gives us a deep insight into the human condition.  As the famine intensified throughout the land, Yaakov sent his sons down to Mitzrayim to purchase grain.  The brothers came to Mitzrayim and eventually found themselves in front of Yoseph, their brother whom they had sold into slavery years earlier.  The Pasuk tell us that “Yoseph recognized his brothers but they did not recognize him” (42:8).  Rashi is apparently troubled by the notion that the brothers would not have recognized Yoseph.  Even with so many years having gone by, this was their brother who had been an integral part of their lives.  They had grown up together and were intensely jealous of him on account of the K’tones Passim. He was the one whose dreams alienat...
