Baltimore, MD - Dec. 4, 2025 - Cold, dry weather will continue across the Baltimore area today, with a noticeable chill in the air. A new cold front is expected to move through this afternoon, bringing brisk winds and possibly a few light snow showers in the mountains to our west.
Temperatures will stay on the cold side through tonight, and winds may gust at times, making it feel even colder.
Looking ahead to Friday, there’s a small chance of light wintry precipitation — possibly a mix of rain and snow — as a storm system passes south of Maryland. The weekend should see a brief return to calm and dry conditions before another pair of quick-moving weather systems arrives early next week
Baltimore, MD - Dec. 4, 2025 - A recent investigation has revealed that 23 non-profit organizations in Baltimore have received over $26 million in city tax dollars over the past three years, despite failing to comply with Maryland's solicitation laws.
Among these organizations is the Greater Baltimore Urban League, which has been deemed delinquent by the state and placed on probation by its national office for non-compliance.
Del. Ryan Nawrocki of Baltimore County expressed concern, stating, "Often times they're connected to someone that has been a substantial political donor or worked on a campaign here in Maryland."
The investigation found that non-profits such as Charm City Care, the Pride Center, Baltimore Medical Systems, and Project PLASE have received substantial ...
WASHINGTON (AP) — The FBI made an arrest on Thursday in its nearly 5-year-old investigation into who placed pipe bombs in Washington on the eve of the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol.
The arrest marks the first time investigators have settled on a suspect in an act that had long vexed law enforcement, spawned a multitude of conspiracy theories and remained an enduring mystery in the shadow of the dark chapter of American history that is the violent Capitol siege.
The arrest took place Thursday morning, and the suspect is a man, a law enforcement official told The Associated Press. He was arrested in Virginia, according to another person familiar with the matter. No other details were immediately available, including the charges the man might face. Th...
Yasser Abu Shabab, a leader of Gaza militias in eastern Rafah who in recent months has worked together with Israel, has been assassinated.
He had been cooperating with Israel in recent months and heads an organization called the Popular Forces. Senior Israeli security officials said he was killed in clashes between clans in Gaza.
Abu Shabab told an interview he gave to KAN News in the past that his people are young Palestinians from the Strip who do not belong to any political or organizational idea. "We tasted the bitterness and injustice caused to us by Hamas and took upon ourselves to deal with this aggression," he said in an interview. "We will become a support for our people to remove this injustice." Shabab emphasized: "We support any legitimate force that adopts the idea...

Baltimore, MD -- Dec. 3, 2025 - Baltimore police Commissioner Richard Worley discussed the city’s significant reduction in homicides and shootings in 2025, attributing the success to partnerships and community cooperation.
With just under one month left in the year, Baltimore City has experienced 127 homicides, which is 45 fewer than this time last year. The city has also seen a reduction in nonfatal shootings, nearly 25% down compared to last year.
Worley spoke on the “T.J. Smith” show Tuesday morning. When asked about the historic reduction in homicides, Worley credited agencies and officers across the city and state working together.
“That’s still too many. One is too many. But the lowest recorded since 1970, for a year, was 171,” Worley said. &ldq...

Baltimore, MD - Dec. 3, 2025 - Concerns over voter eligibility in Maryland is prompting a measure which would require proof of U.S. citizenship for voter registration.
Del. Ryan Nawrocki believes the current system is simply an honor system.
"Right now the way it works is you go in and say "yep that's me and I'm a citizen" and that's it," he said.
This issue gained attention following the arrest of Iowa school superintendent Ian Roberts, an illegal immigrant who was a registered voter in Maryland for years.
Del. Matt Morgan criticized the state's voter roll maintenance, saying, "The State Board of Elections never cleans its voter rolls, so there could be thousands of people on here we have no idea."
The Maryland Freedom Caucus is advocating for stricter ...

Baltimore is among four cities in the company's latest expansion. The other cities include St. Louis, Pittsburgh and Philadelphia.
