By his side every moment stood his beloved wife Rochel who, together with their children, was fully devoted to his care. Their lives revolved around keeping Rav Dovid comfortable, cared for, and surrounded by love.

Annapolis, MD - April 8, 2025 - The Maryland General Assembly is preparing for a fall special session to address federal funding freezes and workforce purges.
On Tuesday, Maryland Gov. Wes Moore held his first bill-signing ceremony of Session 2025, a day after the session ended.
State leaders discussed the creation of a new, 26-member, bipartisan joint committee to monitor federal government actions and potential impacts on the state. The panel will be tasked with providing timely updates, so lawmakers are prepared to respond as necessary.
"As we've seen chaos unfold just south of us in Washington, D.C., in Annapolis, we move differently," Moore said.
A trigger built in to the state's fiscal year 2026 budget would bring lawmakers back to Annapolis for a special session &...
Baltimore, MD - April 8, 2025 - More federal cuts are affecting funding for emergency responses and preparedness programs in Maryland.
Reimbursements from the Federal Emergency Management Agency to Maryland are frozen, 11 News has learned. When catastrophe strikes, the Maryland Department of Emergency Management steps up with an arsenal of resources.
MDEM draws down rebuilding money from FEMA, but since March 31, federal funds are nowhere to be found. MDEM told 11 News on Tuesday that it can't get money from FEMA's drawdown system that's used to request funding.
"Emergency management only works when there is collaboration, partnership and trust among the local, state and federal governments," MDEM spokesman Jorge Castillo said in a statement sent to 11 News.

The deal the Trump Administration is attempting to reach with the Iranian government on Iran's nuclear program would allow Iran to maintain a civilian nuclear program, i24NEWS reported Tuesday evening, citing a source familiar with the talks.
"Iran will be able to maintain a civilian nuclear program for electricity production, such as the reactor in Bushehr, even if it has to completely dismantle its nuclear [weapons] program," the source stated.
The source added, "Trump said that Iran will not have nuclear weapons; military nuclear facilities no, but civilian nuclear yes. Therefore, even if the facilities that contain the centrifuges and enable uranium enrichment have to be destroyed, Iran will be able to retain a civilian nuclear program."
Israeli officials told i24NEWS that "the...

The Supreme Court on Tuesday blocked an order for the Trump administration to return to work thousands of federal employees who were let go in mass firings aimed at dramatically downsizing the federal government.
The justices acted in the administration’s emergency appeal of a ruling by a federal judge in California ordering that 16,000 probationary employees be reinstated while a lawsuit plays out because their firings didn’t follow federal law.
The effect of the high court’s order will keep employees in six federal agencies on paid administrative leave for now. Justices Sonia Sotomayor and Ketanji Brown Jackson said they would have kept the judge's order in place.
A second lawsuit, filed in Maryland, also resulted in an order blocking the firings at those same s...

After hearing the devastating news about the deaths of Shiri, Ariel, and Kfir Bibas A”H, I went straight to the piano, and this song poured out of me. It was as if the melody and lyrics were already waiting to be expressed, born from heartbreak but also from something deeper—a longing that transcends this world.
Written from the perspective of a hostage conversing with our father in heaven, the song captures the desperate yearning to return home, not just in the physical sense but in the spiritual one as well. It serves as a reminder that, at our core, we all long to come home—to our families, to safety, and ultimately, to our Creator.
This song is my way of honoring their memory, holding onto hope, and expressing a truth that unites us all. I felt a deep urgency to ...
