Baltimore, MD - Sept. 11, 2017 - Internationally renowned bone marrow registry Matnas Chaim has come to Baltimore in efforts of finding a life-saving donor match.

Chaim, a newly married husband and father of a 7-month-old baby girl has been diagnosed with a rare disease, and he needs an immediate bone marrow transplant from a perfectly matched donor.

Being of Ashkenazi descent, Chaim’s match must be within the same ancestral pool, i.e. a donor from Ashkenazi descent with similar genealogy. The global secular marrow registries are completely useless in such cases. Matnas Chaim has been the miraculous envoy for nearly 3,200 Jewish patients over the past 20 years.

If you are an adult between the ages of 18 and 45, you belong at the drive.

Testing for a bone marrow match takes just 3 minutes and involves nothing more than a simple swab of your cheek with a cotton swab. No blood is drawn, and you can go on with your day right away.

If you do turn out to be a match, you will be given the choice to donate your marrow in a painless procedure—and literally help save Chaim’s life and his family’s future.

Chaim is counting on you. Matnas Chaim is counting on you. The global Jewish community is counting on you. Even if you don’t turn out to be Chaim’s match, you may get the opportunity to save another life somewhere else some other time.

Testing will take place today, Tuesday, September 11 through Wednesday, September 13, at the Tesser home: 3215 Pinkney Road from 4 PM – 11 PM. No appointment necessary, just walk in.
