Israel Police Training Exercise Simulates A Plane Crash

The Israel Police participated in an airplane crash exercise at the new Ramon Airport (near Eilat), which was conducted by the Israel Airports Authority, in cooperation with the security and rescue forces.

The Israel Police is preparing to open the new airport located near Eilat. As part of the opening of the field, Israel Police will assign a team of bomb demolition experts as part of the field’s permanent security system, and is preparing to maintain public order and public safety.

As part of the preparations, many police forces participated in the exercise. During the training event, the forces practiced a plane crash in the field, extinguishing the damaged plane, extricating and rescuing the passengers. The main task is to “transfer the baton” – transferring control of the event from the field management to the police command.

The Israel Police said: The exercise is part of the routine preparedness for emergency events as the department seeks to maintain a higher level of preparedness by engaging in such training events.
