'All we know about them is that they served the religion of Allah faithfully,' says Umm el-Fahm preacher.

Hundreds gathered in an Umm el-Fahm cemetery Sunday evening as the three terrorists responsible for Friday’s deadly terror attack near the Temple Mount were laid to rest.

The three terrorists, all of whom were residents of Umm el-Fahm, were praised at a special memorial ceremony held at the local mosque where they had prayed, Channel 10 reported.

According to the Channel 10 report, hundreds also took part in the memorial ceremony, which was held at the El-Furkan mosque.

The mosque’s preacher, a member of the northern branch of the Islamic Movement, hailed the three slain terrorists as martyrs.

“All we know about them is that they served the religion of Allah faithfully,” the preacher said.

The preacher denied police claims – which have been confirmed by security camera footage – that the three opened fire, killing two Border Police officers. The preacher described the three terrorists as “martyrs”.

“We don’t know what they’re hiding in the news. The Prophet taught us that one who goes out to worship Allah and is killed is considered a martyr.”

Earlier on Sunday, the lower chamber of Jordan’s parliament held a ceremony in honor of the three terrorists.

The ceremony was led by Atef Tarawneh, Speaker of the House of Representatives.

“May Allah’s mercy be on our martyrs, who watered the holy soil.”

“Our heads are lifted up by the fighting of young Palestinians who are still fighting in the name of the people.”

Dozens of lawmakers joined with Tarawneh in a prayer for the dead terrorists.

“My Allah have mercy on our young men, from the Jabarin family, that their relatives should receive praise and honor.”
