“Israel is open for business with China,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in Beijing on Monday after meeting with a group of top Chinese business leaders as he continued his five-day visit to the Asian power that began on Sunday.

“Today I met with the heads of China’s largest corporations,” Netanyahu wrote on Facebook. “One-hundred fifty billion dollars around one table. Some of them already invest in Israel; some of them now will invest in Israel. This means more jobs for Israelis and a strengthening of the Israeli economy.”

The prime minister posted a selfie he took with Alibaba Group Executive Chairman Jack Ma.

Netanyahu then attended an innovation forum in which hundreds of Israeli and Chinese business people took part.

Also on Monday, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang hosted Netanyahu at the Great Hall of the People. A statement released by Netanyahu’s office called the meeting a “breakthrough in bilateral relations” that included the signing of a number of cooperation agreements.

Netanyahu will meet with Chinese President Xi Jiping later during his trip.

The prime minister’s traveling entourage includes Environmental Protection Minister Zeev Elkin, Economy and Industry Minister Eli Cohen, Science, Technology and Space Minister Ofir Akunis, Health Minister Yaakov Litzman and Agriculture Minister Uri Ariel.
