2 Buses Headed For NYC Crash In Lincoln Tunnel, Injuring 23

WEEHAWKEN, N.J. - Two New Jersey Transit buses headed to New York City's Port Authority Bus Terminal have collided in the Lincoln Tunnel, injuring 23 people.

Port Authority Police spokesman Joe Pentangelo says the crash occurred around 8:50 a.m. Monday in the center tube. Pentangelo says the door on one bus had to be cut open. He says the injuries aren't considered life-threatening.

NJ Transit spokeswoman Lisa Torbic says a bus headed from Ridgefield rear-ended a bus out of Fairview.
