Baltimore, MD - Feb. 14, 2016 — Sunshine on Sunday will give way to snow on Presidents Day.

11 Insta-Weather PLUS meteorologist Tony Pann said snow will arrive during the day Monday. By the afternoon and evening, warm air will try to work its way in from the south, which could bring a period of sleet and freezing rain.

Pann said the early look at the snowfall forecast could put as much as 2 inches of snow in the Baltimore area, but if it stays colder, there will be more snow. Heavier snowfall is expected in higher elevations north and west of the city.

Pann said it may be warm enough by Tuesday morning that the precipitation will fall as mostly rain.
