Jerusalem, Israel - Sept. 18, 2017 - First Station, is the Yerushalayim tourist attraction area located at the merging point of BethLehem, Hevron and Emek Refaim Streets. Food, beer and various children's activities and musical events have attracted locals and tourists.

On Motzei Shabbos, a new attraction #SheSparks held its opening. #SheSparks is a collective of Israeli women entrepreneurs. These women, mostly English speakers who made aliyah, have gotten together to share with the public their talents and unique wares. Fashionable clothes and scarves, fabulous cupcakes and tea, wood projects and painting, hand-made bags of all sizes, Reveal card games, tie-dyed clothing, special soaps, coffee liqueur and more were shown. Many of the businesses are presently open and available for on-line shopping.  However, now a visitor to Israel has the option of one-stop shopping for all their gift needs before returning home.

One of the exhibitors,Tamara Zuckerman, shared with BJL, "Our family came directly from Canada, my husband is the Rabbi in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario. Previously we both worked at Yeshivat Rambam in Baltimore. I taught in the ECE while my husband taught classes from second grade through high school. I and six of our children made aliyah in July, two of our children were already studying in Naale schools. My husband will commute for the time being.

I had only placed the kids in school a few days ago when #SheSparks came on my radar. I knew it was a motivative force I just had to connect with. I am a doula, weaver, spinner, and wellness advocate for DöTERRA essential oils. Tonight at #SheSparks I am displaying DöTERRA therapeutic grade essential oils which can be used for a wide range of emotional and physical wellness applications. I have a team of ladies I already support back in North America, Baltimore included. I can be found on Facebook @SpiritedEssentialOils and @tasuedesigns respectively."

The special pre-Rosh Hashana sale runs from Sunday toTuesday evenings, 4:30-10:00 pm. After the chagim regular store hours are to be established. Though some First Station businesses are open on Shabbos, #SheSparks will be closed.

Full disclosure, many of the entrepreneurs involved are friends and Efrat Schorr is my daughter. She and her husband Elli Schorr, own and run Ceremonie Tea, Elli is the son of former Maryland residents, Dr Jacob and Julie Schorr.
